It went down easy. Reminds me a lot of shiner bock, or ziegenbock, or any other cheap brew made to look nice. Thin, filmy head, low carbonation, reminded me of a bad warm beer, even though it was chilled.

I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My go to "session beer". Pours a nice, clear amber color with a thick white-ish head. Has a malty smell to it. Has a crisp, light mouthfeel. Tastes of malt, slight bitterness, with a light honey finish. A solid beer overall, an exceptional one for the price.

Pours a crystal clear golden color with white head and just a suggestion of honey flavor

Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Clear, sparkling amber with a thin off-white head and fair lacing. Aroma of honey, caramel, bread and dough. Taste of honey, cream soda and bread dough. This is clearly a lager, despite all that honey and mall, albeit not a particularly good one. Medium/light body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Honey lager is certainly not the same as honey ale and has since also evident during fermented mark only in flavor. Malty, partially hoppy and flower. The taste is very rich and sweet. It has malty character as a lager, but it also has clear shades of honey. Hop bitterness is low and gives an aftertaste of honey that is long-lasting.

Pours dark gold with ample frothy head. Aroma is musty yeast with glass off-notes. Flavor is very plain cheap pilsener. The honey is obviously there just to soften the blow of this fairly crappy lager.

Bottle from Epsom Circle Market, Epsom NH. Aroma is bready malts and yeasty dough. Appearance is clear golden brown with finger-width head with poor retention, minimal lacing and nice sparkle. Taste is lightly sweet. Palate is medium bodied with lively carbonation that’ll cut through a dry throat on a hot summer day. Overall, pretty much what you’d expect for the style but not a real strong aroma or taste. In the right situation, this hits the spot.
