A wonderfully balanced true pale ale. Cascade, Tomahawk, and Amarillo hops create a citrusy aroma with a smooth, crisp finish. A subdued malt character nicely complements the hop complexity and produces an orangey amber hue.

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2010 Pours a light amber with a thin white head, little carbonation. Not much going on with aroma. Taste is sweet and malty and with lightly detectable hops . I thought this was an American Pale Ale, which are supposed to be moderately hoppy? "Enjoyably Hoppy" written on the case could be grounds for false advertizing. The taste is not bad at all. Itís drinakable. With Mission Street and Sierra Nevada jacking up their prices, I was hoping to find a reasonably priced, hoppy, go to beer. Although not quite as hoppy as Iíd like in a pale ale, this will suffice as long as itís on sale @$19 a case. You could do a lot worse and I havenít found anything better yet for under a buck a bottle.

It pours with a thin foamy off white head that fades to just a small ring around the edge of the glass. The color of the beer itself is a bright golden color with great clarity. The aroma has just a light aromatic and citrus hops nose. It starts off with sweet bready malts and light grain up front that turns to a thin herbal and leafy hops flavor with a touch of citrus in the middle. The finish is mildly bitter and fades out nicely. On the palate it has a smooth yet thin texture with mild carbonation and a light to medium body.

More reviews, Iíll keep íem coming as long as I can. Here goes. Into a pint glass, this appearance was an amber Color with a one finger of head, decent lacing. The smell had a mild caramel malt with a faint orange and medicinal qualities running amuk on this one. The taste was mainly sweet adding in that "English" aspect not so much enjoyed by many Americans (fuggles hops perhaps). On the palate, it sat fairly light but almost leading towards a medium on the body. The sessionability of this one is there as I could see this one being fairly decent with some fish ní chips. Overall, it seems like an English Pale Ale to me which isnít bad. I understand this style but often think these beers are often good with some fish ní chips.

From a bottle. Pours clear amber with a thin off white head. Tastes bitter, hoppy, bready, with a hint of raisin. Dry feel. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells toasted, like cereal, toffee, nuts, floral hops, plums, and figs.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with creamy, off-white head. Aroma is caramel, toasted, and cereal malts, toffee, mixed nuts, floral hops, plums, and light fig. Flavor is balanced bready malts and hop bitterness with a touch of dark fruit esters; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

This beer is so malty, and not in a good way. Hops are in there, but not tasty and not what at all what I want in a pale ale.

Bottle. Aroma is hoppy with a bit of citrus. Pours light amber/golden colored with medium white head. Taste is slightly more hoppy than I would consider a pale and finishes dry and hoppy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours an almost clear amber with a golden hue and a large white head. Dusty hops, a bit medicinal and spicy. Medium bodied, sweet candied floral notes, a bit of malt and then some weird banana notes come through. Where did that come from? More weirdness into the finish, old bubblegum, some strange bitterness and old toast. Meh. I could drink this I guess...but why?

Hoppy citrus aroma with a touch of lime in the flavour. Light orange colour with nice carbonation on the tongue.

12oz bottle. Poured a crystal clear amber color with a small off-white head. Smell and taste is of light hops and mild caramel malt. Has more hop flavor than you can detect by the nose.
