I get sick of the people who write in and criticize any Saranac or Dundee beers. Two NY Brewers that have made good brews for years. Just about everything they make is Very Good , Easily drinkable product that is reasonably priced. Could they take more chances with what they are making? Of Course, but is what we are drinking from them worthy of the criticizm? I hardly think so. Are all of you that sophisticated? I HARDLY THINK SO.

12 oz bottle poured a golden-amber. The small white head has decent retention. The aroma is a mix of sweet malt, spicy hops and, unfortunately, a whiff of wet dog. The slightly boosted ABV is all too obvious in the flavor. O: an average quality lager, albeit with more flavor and alcohol.

Sour, caramel and yeasty. This tastes about how i would expect a caramel tootsie pop to taste. Not impressive at all.

Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Clear yellow brew with good sized white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of light hops - ggrass and mineral water. Taste is prominent and sweet malt at the start though the end, with some grassy hops and funk in the finish, A little boozey as it warms up. Not so great, IMO, but maybe that is the style.

Sweet, bready aroma. Medium yellow color, moderate carbonation. Heavy, sweet caramel and sugar flavor, no real hop contrast. Frothy feel, minor bite on finish. Should be classed with the strong pales. Unusual to have a sugar bomb be a lager.

Almost clean, copper body and off white head. Pilsner yeast, sweet American white bread, not much more. Medium sweet, somewhat sticky body. Dry aftertaste of cheap crackers. Really bad smell, taste is bearable. (12oz bottle on Florida trip)

12 oz bottle from the very inexpensive sampler case. You get what you pay for and in this case it’s very true. Just an average tasting beer somewhat better than the standard swill, but not anything as good as a craft brew. Good for high consumption, such as at a party or barbecue.

Pours a medium golden. Thin white head dissipates quickly. Smell is mostly of an odd vinegar or slightly wine like character. Taste, to me, was not as sweet as others said. The taste is sweet and malty, but it is cut with a hint of vegetable and a sour note from the vinegar aroma. Most present is a doughy/bready finish that is reminiscent of a plain ol macro lager.

Too sweet for me. Honey and malts taste as if they were doused in syrup. I can see how someone could enjoy it but I couldn't get through one ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This bock poured a clear light yellow colour with next to no head. Scents include vinegar, wine, hay and citrus. First taste was rough with flavours of toast, light hop and white wine. Finish is winey with a light toast taste.
