Legend has it in 1840, a monk smuggled lager yeast into Bohemia, setting the stage for the first pilsner; even now the tradation continues. We brew this pilsner with the noblest of saaz and to this we add premium German pilsner malt. This rich crisp taste has a finish so smooth that it deserves an encore, PROST!!

Pours a crystal clear straw color. Smell is faint but pleasant with grass and floral notes. The taste is consistent with the style but a but weak. like the smell, there is a grass and floral with a crisp hop bite. Finishes clean. Nothing stellar about it, but it’s a nice summer brew.

Bottle from sampler. Fresh smell but lacks in taste. Kinda like a butterface. Great in fresh hop taste but average overall by lack of fullness and mouthfeel. ---Rated via my mouth

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2012 Bottle from the summer variety pack. Poured into pilsner glass, bright straw color with decent white head. Aroma is very malty with some lemongrass hops. Taste brought more honey sweetness, medium body and fizzy. Not bad, refreshing.

Nice looking brew pours crystal clear light yellow and is capped with a thick sticky white head. Scads of lacing add to the curb appeal. Nose is faintly straw-like with some lemongrass hop notes. Thin and crisp with a healthy smack of carbonation, this beer is missing one main ingredient. Flavor. Little malt character to carry the more-aromatic-than-bitter hops, leaving each sip feeling unfinished.

Bottled. Poured clear, bright golden with a stark white head. The aroma picked up dull bready notes and hay with not a lot more coming through. The flavor found light bready notes, wet grains, and honey at the core.. mild herbal bitterness around.. finished prickly with more residual sweetness than bitterness. Light-bodied with rolling carbonation on the palate.. drinkable, but there wasn’t a whole lot to get excited about.

Clear gold, negligible white head. Scent is slight corn, grainy, light skunk. Taste is malt, slight hops. Plenty of bite from the carbonation. Very crisp and simple. Good all-around basic, beer.

Pours a clear bright golden with a full rocky white head that diminishes significantly, but stays around. Some lace. Aroma is corn grits and a little floral hop. Clean and crisp, the taste is sweet pale malt, , breadiness, some corn and an appropriate amount of hop bitterness. Not bad at all.

Bottle. Pours a pale gold with a high, large-grained, white head that leaves lace. The nose is malty -- it’s what I think of as ’smells like beer’, but the beer my dad used to drink instead of the modern macrobrew. Very hoppy on the tongue, with some wheaty notes on the midpalate; finishes clean and dry. Quite good for what it is -- I’d drink this while using heavy lawn equipment.

Sampled at an esbls. From Rob. Clear golden. Not much head to mention. Light skunk honey nose. Not offensive but too close to it. Mhoney flavor. Very soft sulphur hops and even softer fruit. A bitter after taste.
