COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Legend has it in 1840, a monk smuggled lager yeast into Bohemia, setting the stage for the first pilsner; even now the tradation continues. We brew this pilsner with the noblest of saaz and to this we add premium German pilsner malt. This rich crisp taste has a finish so smooth that it deserves an encore, PROST!!

Clear yellow with a white head. Grassy hop aroma. Taste is pretty dry with lemony-medicinal hops.

From bottle no. 09510-8:55 4W. The pour is pale yellow with a thin to zero head so it is pretty average. The label reads hazy and hoppy and it does not live up to the "hazy" part. The aroma is grainy, slightly malty, with a slight hoppy nose. The body is creamy and thin to medium. The taste is moderately off-bitter. On a hot day the bitterness was too punchy but overall it is adequate.

12oz bottle 7/17/11 (Binny’s Plainfield Singles Rack)-44° in Flute-Pours a clear golden with a big white head. Aroma of malt, hops, and grass. Taste of the same with some more grains coming through. This light bodied brew is not bad but just another Dundee brew.

Aroma of pear, light noble hops and slight pepper/cracker. Appearance is light gold with white head. Flavor is mostly sweet malts with the slightest amount of fruit and hops in the finish. Palate was bubbly. Doesn’t have the hop profile of a pilsner, and far too sweet IMO.

Yawn. Light, pale, clear, decent head/lacing. A touch of german hops in nose with grass. Very non descript palate. Pale lager not pilsener.

12oz bottle. clear yellow color, one-finger white fading head. First thing you notice is the carbonation, which over powers the aroma and taste giving this a sort of watered-down flavor. More lager-yesty aroma, faint hops taste.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 6/22/11

Aroma: The nose is rather faint, but there’s some grains, grass, yeast, plus honey and corn notes to it
Appearance: It pours into the glass a crystal clear yellow color with a sticky white head and drippy lace
Flavor: The taste is much like the nose, fairly balanced mild sweetness and decently crisp bitterness
Palate: The body is fairly light, it is true to the style, not overly watery, fairly smooth, decently crisp and drinkable
Overall Impression: Did I really travel all the way across the country to buy Dundee beers (from NY)? Well, I was trying to fill out a mix 6er, so it was either a couple of Dundee or stuff like Becks (yes, Colonial puts Becks in their sorely lacking in quality and quantity make your own 6 pack area). As for this pils, it doesn’t have a ton going on, but it isn’t particularly flawed either. I find the palate to be right on style, so I gave it a bonus for that reason. This is a solid offering.

Purchased from the Mitchell Avenue Krogers - Alright, this fine looking brew poured out golden and topped by a thick white foam head yeasty-grainy aroma. Tastewise, it is flavorful such as a true pilsener, body it does seem to be lacking in body. Well, it is a good beer, but not a great one

12oz bottle from the Dundee sampler pack, pours a clear yellow with a thin head and no lacing, there is pretty much nothing on the nose, the flavor is much of the same with a hint of grass and corn in the finish, overall pretty bland and boring.

Clear yellow gold, thin white head. Aroma of light corn, grain and apple. Taste is pretty plain, corn and apple again and some DMS like I’m picking up in most of these Dundee beers.
