Legend has it in 1840, a monk smuggled lager yeast into Bohemia, setting the stage for the first pilsner; even now the tradation continues. We brew this pilsner with the noblest of saaz and to this we add premium German pilsner malt. This rich crisp taste has a finish so smooth that it deserves an encore, PROST!!

Bottled. Poured clear, bright golden with a stark white head. The aroma picked up dull bready notes and hay with not a lot more coming through. The flavor found light bready notes, wet grains, and honey at the core.. mild herbal bitterness around.. finished prickly with more residual sweetness than bitterness. Light-bodied with rolling carbonation on the palate.. drinkable, but there wasn’t a whole lot to get excited about.

12oz bottle. clear yellow color, one-finger white fading head. First thing you notice is the carbonation, which over powers the aroma and taste giving this a sort of watered-down flavor. More lager-yesty aroma, faint hops taste.

Bottle. Clear light yellow pour with a fluffy white head. Grain and pale malts, crisp but very light, and a touch of hop bite late. Meh.

9/15/13. 12oz bottle from Winn Dixie. Golden pour with a small off-white head. Plain aroma, light bread and a dash of citrus zest. Plain flavor, not offensive, lightly sweet breadiness with a hint of citrus zest and grass.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a extremely large sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were and left behind a softly carbonated transparent weak yellow colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy and musty. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The thin flavor contained notes of hops and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

Sampled at an esbls. From Rob. Clear golden. Not much head to mention. Light skunk honey nose. Not offensive but too close to it. Mhoney flavor. Very soft sulphur hops and even softer fruit. A bitter after taste.

Bottle. Pours a crystal clear light gold body with a one finger fizzy white head. A nice amount of clingy lacing remained. The nose is pretty subtle, just a very light bready maltiness with some very light hop notes. The flavor is on the bland side. Nicely crisp and a bit snappy on the finish, but the malt is a little too watered down and the hops too few to make an impact. Light bodied and watery in texture with fizzy prickly carbonation. This wasn’t really bad or flawed in any way, it’s just incredibly boring and lacking in character.

The aroma is almost nonexistent with a bit of clean grassy hops and corn like malt. The appearance is golden with a large foamy head. The taste is like the aroma with a dry quality. The palate is thin. Overall this beer fits the style but does not excel at being good. I do not like it much.

12oz bottle, mixed 12pk from discontinued table at Publix. Aroma of pale grains & straw. Clear yellow color, no head. Light fizz. Light cereal flavor. Tastes like a well hopped Pilsner. Finishes with a decent hop character, pale malts. A little off balance, but better than expected. (3868)

Bottle and rated on 3-25-2012. Pours a small smooth white head that was mostly lasting, fair amount of lacing, fast-rising carbonation, transparent body, and a yellow hue. The Aroma is malty, sweet, grassy, mildly hoppy, and semi-crisp. The Flavor is malty, mildly hoppy and a semi-dry finish. The Mouthfeel is lightly tingly and semi-oily and this is medium bodied Pilsener. Overall, this beer is easy to drink so I would put it in the Session category, but it lacks character.
