COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Legend has it in 1840, a monk smuggled lager yeast into Bohemia, setting the stage for the first pilsner; even now the tradation continues. We brew this pilsner with the noblest of saaz and to this we add premium German pilsner malt. This rich crisp taste has a finish so smooth that it deserves an encore, PROST!!

Light gold yellow clear very slight haze.Frothy head good lacing. Aroma is a sweet pilsner, slight citrus maybe orange/emon like.Lager mineral notes. Some neutral breadiness. Slight peppery spice.Mild but pleasant. Same taste as aroma, nice medium possibly fullish body.Pretty nice really has a spicey somewhat citrusy finish. Pretty solid tastey, medium sweet pilsner.Somewhat grassy with citrus finish. Its a nice pilsner. This is a good beer. Im a sucker for saaz and some good german malt maybe.

Purchased from the Mitchell Avenue Krogers - Alright, this fine looking brew poured out golden and topped by a thick white foam head yeasty-grainy aroma. Tastewise, it is flavorful such as a true pilsener, body it does seem to be lacking in body. Well, it is a good beer, but not a great one

Bottle. Pours a pale gold with a high, large-grained, white head that leaves lace. The nose is malty -- it’s what I think of as ’smells like beer’, but the beer my dad used to drink instead of the modern macrobrew. Very hoppy on the tongue, with some wheaty notes on the midpalate; finishes clean and dry. Quite good for what it is -- I’d drink this while using heavy lawn equipment.

Good beer all the way around, balanced on the malts and hop. Not too bitter but brings a good drinkability all the way.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 6/22/11

Aroma: The nose is rather faint, but there’s some grains, grass, yeast, plus honey and corn notes to it
Appearance: It pours into the glass a crystal clear yellow color with a sticky white head and drippy lace
Flavor: The taste is much like the nose, fairly balanced mild sweetness and decently crisp bitterness
Palate: The body is fairly light, it is true to the style, not overly watery, fairly smooth, decently crisp and drinkable
Overall Impression: Did I really travel all the way across the country to buy Dundee beers (from NY)? Well, I was trying to fill out a mix 6er, so it was either a couple of Dundee or stuff like Becks (yes, Colonial puts Becks in their sorely lacking in quality and quantity make your own 6 pack area). As for this pils, it doesn’t have a ton going on, but it isn’t particularly flawed either. I find the palate to be right on style, so I gave it a bonus for that reason. This is a solid offering.

Pours a crystal clear straw color. Smell is faint but pleasant with grass and floral notes. The taste is consistent with the style but a but weak. like the smell, there is a grass and floral with a crisp hop bite. Finishes clean. Nothing stellar about it, but it’s a nice summer brew.

Decent pilsner with some not entirely successful malty bitterness. Fairly low on hops for the style and rather tart on the finish. Easy drinking and quite refreshing.

Clear yellow with a white head. Grassy hop aroma. Taste is pretty dry with lemony-medicinal hops.

translucent gold with a thin white head; medium-thin body with high carbonation.

aroma: biscuity pale malt, piney citrusy hops.

taste: piney citrus hops, pretzely malt, orange blossom honey, and minerality. even has a hint of belgian wit orange peel.

in a blind tasting, i’d call this an american pale ale.
