Sampled on 3/27/2009. The porter pours a dark brown color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized tan foamy head. The aroma is chocolate and coffee, somewhat sweet. A medium bodied porter. The malts are chocolate and coffee, a little sweet. The hops are earthy and floral. A touch of vanilla flavor as well. It’s a little sweet and a touch thin, but a decent porter. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a very deep brown with ruby highlights. Small, off-white, creamy head. The head is a little quick to fade. Light coffee and roasted malt notes in the nose. Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. The first taste I get is a off medicinal note. Pair that with some roasted malt, slight coffee notes, and a dry bitterness, and you have a beer that isn’t very good. The finish is a lingering off bitter taste. This is pretty dreadful stuff and I would not recommend wasting your time with it.

Bottle. Pours a nice black with a small, foamy, tan head that slowly fades. Taste is of roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, coffee and smoke. Similar aroma. Slightly sweet with a slight bitter finish. Easy to drink, enjoyable and reasonably priced.
