12 fl.oz bottle. Black body with a nice small foamy-creamy beige head. Moderated roasted aroma, light dried fruits in the nose. The characteristic roasted flavor rules the medium body with some sweet caramel, light vanilla and coffee taste. Fine

355 mL bottle. Almost black, with a small off-white head that quickly recedes to a film. A bit of roast, some dark fruit, and some astringency in the aroma. Flavour has fairly prominent roast, sweet chocolate milk, and a slight nuttiness. Creamy. Easily the best of the Dundees offerings I’ve tried - but that’s not saying much.

Bottle and served in snifter: Deep brownish hue with a surprisingly nice creamy beige head that left nice lace upon the glass. The nose is walnut, toast, grains, milk chocolate, prune, hint of grassy hop and coffee, again a bit surprising and better than expected. Ah then came the tasting, well not bad but hardly memorable either. Milk chocolate and nutty with a thin flabby toasty background that also has a hint of lacto sourness. Very light hint of hop bitters, anise and smoke upon the finish. The mouth feel is smooth and chalky, a tad too thin but then it is a porter after all. You can do better of course but then you could do a lot worse than the Dundee Porter. Quaffable.

sampler pack aroma of malt and....beer. but that’s about it. flavor is milk chocolate and mild coffee with a strange acidic component most likely from the high carbonation. slightly bitter finish to this light bodied yet creamy brew. surprisingly good drinkability and they go down quick!

Pours a very dark red/brown with OK head. Aroma is roasty, with notes of chocolate and coffee. Flavor is certainly not complex, but has again has a nice roasty quality- quite similar to the aroma. Palate is a bit thin, but not bad for a fairly inexpensive porter. Decent brew.

Pours a very dark red with nice two finger head. Aroma is chocolate roast, some arid grainyness and coffee malt. Flavor is mostly roasty but a tad on the lighter side. Perhaps not malty enough for the style. Palate is smooth and soft, but again a bit on the thin side. Tasty, but not extraordinary.

Bouteille. dégusté avec french tickler. Bière de couleur noir avec un moyen collet beige non collant. Arôme fumé, sel et épices. Saveur d’épices et un peu salé.

Quite good I must say. Unfortunately I passed out on the couch before I could finish it but lucky for me I have another!
