Nice dark pour with some head and lacing. Good coffee/chocolate mix without being overly sweet.

Bottle, from trade with Goldtwins. Ok aroma, sweet, roasty, Lite fruitiness, banana, grape. Little cardboard, caramel, lite coffee. Clean orangy dark brown color, small head that faded quickly to a ring, little to no lacing. Bittersweet flavor, like aroma with a wheat bread addition. A little of a salty flavor that flattens some of the flavor. Lite body, smooth mouthfeel, lite bittersweet finish. Easy to drink porter, the fruitiness I got in the aroma disappeared as it warmed. Too bad as I found it to be the best part of the aroma. Classic porter otherwise

A deep dark porter with a thick moka head. A light sweet chocolate aroma with creamy ice cream notes. In mouth, a light bitter chocolate taste, with a rather buttery cloying finish. Again, at 90 cents a pop, its a decent brew. Bought at CJs, Potsdam, NY, Jan. 2007.

From a twelve ounce bottle purchased at the Kennard Avenue "Kroger’s" in Cincinnati, Ohio- This one poured a very proper looking porter, black as midniht and with a creamy tan head and aroma of malts. Alas, the taste was simplistic and somewhat metallic (something I find in all of the Dundee line), but it was still a good effort for the schekels spent!

Poured from a bottle and appeared almost black with a nice head. This beer had a roasted malt flavor with a hint of chocolatey taste. For 4.99 a six pack, felt this was a great bargin.

Light roasted nose with a touch of chocolate and coffee grounds. Dark brown color but not much head. A bit sharp and carbonic, with a touch of ashy roast and a nice roast and hop finish. Mouthfeel just a touch too thin and fizzy.

12 oz bottle from the "Craft Pack." For $7.38 a 12 pack, this is a really great buy, for some pretty good beer. The Porter was my favorite of the pack, and is a very good porter. This beer pours to a deep brown to black color, with a soapy head, and a good carbonation. The nose on this beer is really great, with lots of good chocolate/cocca and mild coffee aroma. The palate is lean, but with good chocolate, dark malt, and coffee flavors. This beer finishes with more really good chocolate and coffee up front, then ends with a touch of mild roast, that lingers and takes the cloying edge off this beer. Very well done porter, very drinkable, a great match with hearty dishes, and deserts. This one is well worth seeking out.

Savannah, Ga. - Kroger Grocery store - 12 oz bottle - dark brown pour, faint white head that dissipates quickly. Sweet molasses aroma. Flavor is sweet for a porter with some brown sugar notes and hints of cappucino. Mouthfeel is leaning towads the thin side. Overall, very decent.

poured a dark coca-cola color with a dark tan head. smelled like most other dark lagers / porters. Thick roasted, almost coffee like taste.
