3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 daknole (5856) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 16, 2011
Dark brown pour, light brown head. Aroma is sweet, cocoa, coffee, prunes. Flavor is sweet and a bit sugary. Not really much of a porter to speak of. Not at bad as I thought it might be.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ughsmash (5827) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 24, 2009
Bottled. Poured medium-deep ambery brown with a short, swirly cap of beige head. The aroma picked up lightly-toasted, artificially-sweetened chocolates first and foremost with accents of earth and vanilla beans.. non-offensive. The flavor had sweet chocolates throughout paired with molasses down there too.. again there was lots of vanilla around.. light-to-moderate roast.. sweet finish with more of the molasses. Light-medium bodied and just a bit too sweet for my liking.. decent array of malts, though. I’d drink this again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jerc (5591) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 26, 2009
2009-04-26. Black body with a modest foamy tan head. Aroma is standard porter with sweetish fruity undertones, modestly roasty. Flavour is simple but pleasant, sweet malt, light roasty touches, very subtle sweet fruit undertones. Palate is average to medium bodied. Surprisingly decent! Head and shoulders above the rest of their line up that I have tried so far! Not mind blowing but plainly quaffable. Bottle from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo
