3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 elihapa (1487) - Honolulu, Hawaii, USA - MAY 31, 20084/5/08 notes: bottle. Like JW’s IPA, I expected the worse and found this not all that bad. Taste was quite roasty with a medium body. I tasted a bit of coffee and brown sugar as well, and both flavors were meshed fairly well together. This beer, as I would expect, simply lacks anything real special. It seems “young”: simple flavors and complexity with a light body. If you see this around along with other stuff its price, it wouldn’t be the worst grab!
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 chinchill (579) - South Carolina, USA - MAY 20, 2013
12 oz bottle in a snifter. Pours a dark reddish-brown with nice mahogany highlights. There is a decent tan head.
Good mouthfeel, with well-chosen carbonation, but a touch watery. Medium body.
Aroma: mild: sweet dark malt; noticeably hoppy; slight hints of smoke and dark fruits.
Taste: light for style, but otherwise without serious flaws. Has the hoppy tinge expected of an American Porter.
O - A quality porter. Good value as part of Dundee ’craftpack’.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 DrSilverworm (2702) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 16, 2013
12oz bottle, from Party Source for $1.40 on the close-out shelf. Clear, dark red / brown color. Thin tan head, that fades a bit. Leaves decent lace. Medium body, lighter carbonation. Chocolate, some dark fruit. Lightl sweet nutty character to it, like marzipan. More sweet taste, overall. Chocolate is kind of the artificial, syrupy variety. Some molasses - type flavor to it. Overall, not impressive, but not too bad, either. Tolerable, and decent to wash a sandwich down with.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 AndyW68 (392) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAY 8, 2013
Dark brown with a red tint. Clear held up to light. Short lived tan head with minimal lacing. Aroma is more sweet than roasted malts. Taste is tame. A little caramel with a little bitter hop. Roasted malt, coffee and chocolate are very muted for a porter. I would not be upset if I brewed this, but I would not market it.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Beerathon (590) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 20, 2013
Chestnut in color with fluffy off-white head and lacing. Thin mouth feel with lingering caramel/toffee flavor. Aroma is inviting with the roasted malts and caramel.

12oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with a red tint, half inch of tan foam. Aroma of malts, hops, dark chocolate. Tastes of heavy hops with a biting alcohol after taste and some roastiness.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 EtTuCthulhu (394) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - FEB 8, 2013
This beer is a reddish brown with a cream colored head that is quite prominent, and the aroma is strongly roasted malts with a hint of chocolate. The thin body sticks out, but the strong umami and slightly sweet taste don’t make you forget this beer. Also, the abrupt finish, flat carbonation, and the slick texture compliment each other nicely.

Pours a translucent brownish-black from the bottle with bubbly khaki head and good lacing. Aroma is basic barley, taste is a little more roasted and coffee, but light. Light body and easy to drink, but nothing exciting.
