1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a dark brown color with an offwhite head leaving a little lacing. Aromas of chocolate, roased malt and a little licorice. Tastes like a watered down guiness, very watery mouth feel for a stout. Not very good.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Strong aroma has a core of roast malt, and an odd but not off-putting fishy note. It pours a chocolate brown with a fairly thick light tan head. Flavor has roast malt and chocolate notes plus a hint of molasses and a snippet of coffee. Texture seems a bit thin for a stout, and not very fizzy. Still, an OK brew.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2015 Tasted from a 12oz brown bottle into a nonic pint glass. It poured a dark brown colour with weak beige foam. Too sweet, way too caramelly, not nearly toasty or roasty enough. Medium body and carbonation, thin mouthfeel, some oxidized, soy-sauce notes in the aftertaste. I love stouts, even the cheap, mass-produced ones; this wasnít terrible but it wasnít a good one either.
