2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle: pours a very dark mahogany with a light tan head, that dissipates very quickly, Itís aromas are nothing fancy... sweetish maltiness, with a slight soy saucy sorta scent going on in the background. The flavor is a bit boring... sweet... not nearly as roasty as I was hoping for. Itís not something I would pour out, but not something I would ever hunt down, to drink again.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
Calling this a stout is quite generous. Smells like Budweiser. It looks dark and has nice lacing but that's where it ends. I'm not sure I'll finish it.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bought for $1.50 at an Indian market.bottle, pours dark with a then head. Smells like raisins and a bit sweet. Not a very thick stout. But true to what the bottle says it outs drinkable. I was expecting worse for $1.50. There is a balance that this beer has that is not common for other balanced stouts. I would call this a light feminine stout. Would buy more foor $1.50 but this was their last one.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
It pours a pitch black and gives the same color body in my nonic. The tan lumpy two centimeter head appears, rises just a bit and settles down and leaves a light bit of foamy lacing. The smell has sweet roasty notes of chocolate with some light coffee in the background. The taste has the same sweet and roasty smell with the malts combined very nicely. The palate is mostly light with some sharp prickles on my tongue. Overall, mostly good, decently drinkable, perhaps revisiting would be worth it depending upon what else was served.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a softly carbonated semi-opaque dark cola brown colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The aroma was dark malt. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The nice flavor contained notes of roasted malt and dark malt. A good session beer that I would consider buying again.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: MAR 3, 2013 undated 12 oz bottle from a Dundee "Seasonal Variety Pack" served in a pint glass. Pours very dark brown with a large and durable tan head. Medium-full and very creamy body with well-chosen light carbonation.
Adequate hops to produce good sweet/bitter balance, although dark roasted malt dominates the taste.
O: a clearly above average stout were it not for the poor aroma.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Taste like a pale ale with no real chocolate or coffee flavors, nice aroma though. Simple and very drinkable stout surprised to see all of the low ratings.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
This stout poured a deep black colour with a big, tan coloured, foamy head. Kind of odd its not creamier. To the nose there are scents of cocoa, wine, light coffee and roasted malt. First sip was slightly creamy with way too much carbonation for a stout. Roasted flavours with hints of cocoa and toast. Finish is smokey with a thin palate.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Aroma of cocoa mulch and coffee (maxwell house that is) Basic brown to black appearance, seems very oily. Flavor is a mainly bitter, with dull nutrisweetness at finish. Thin for stout, somewhat slimy. A disappointment when expectations are high, but about what I expected for the brewer and price point

1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
This was one of the worst stouts Iíve ever had. Taste and overall palate were absent, completely. Utterly disappointing from start to finish. If your offered this, pass on it.
