Dark and Drinkable. A smooth and classic sweet stout. This dark rich brew is a combination of roasted malts and hops that bring the chocolate and coffee flavors to life. 17°

hotstuff (3340) - Indiana, USA - MAR 26, 2012
Bottle rated on 3-24-2012. Pours a large creamy, smooth tan head that mostly diminished, one ring of lacing, fizzy carbonation, slightly transparent and slightly opaque body, and a reddish brown hue. The Aroma is malty, sweet and milk chocolate. The Flavor is malty, semi-sweet and hint of chocolate. The Mouthfeel is tingly and this is a light-medium bodied Stout. Overall, this beer is easy to drink, but it lacks a lot of the aromas, flavors and characteristics of a "true" Stout.

Drjohnrock (288) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 5, 2011
Twelve ounce bottle from Dundee variety pack purchased at One Stop Liquors in Bellevue, Kentucky and tasted on January 20, 2011. Almost opaque dark brown color, light brown head that didn’t totally disappear with good lacing, sweet roasted malt aroma with some mustiness, sweet malty flavor with some complexity that’s not as big and rich as most stout drinkers might prefer but pleasant enough in its own way, Good introductory stout for those who think anything darker than a pale lager is just too heavy for their tender systems to bear.

Pours black with a ruin tan head. The aromas are milk chocolate, coffee. The mouthfeel is watery and bitter with a medium body. Not a good beer at all. Cheers!

12 oz. bottle from a Shop N Save mix. This pours almost black with only a little red. Little foam and that ends in a thin ring. A light coffee and chocolate aroma. The first sip is light cocoa and decent bittering hops. There is also some dark fruit that works fairly well with the chocolate backbone. This is like a dark colored brown ale and is a marginal stout.

Bottle. Dark pour with mocha head that disappeared quickly. Cocoa, lickourish, cereal and caramel. lighter, limited character. Not impressed

Sweet robust malt aroma. Black color with a small brown head. Roasted malt flavor in the beginning that fades in the finish.

a vinous old ale flavor hits you right away and that aroma is ever present in this brew that is dark caramel brown with a head that fades completely in short order. the roasted cocoa flavor arrives and is enough in my mind. body is light but not in any way amiss as it delivers body and flavor thruout. i find it somewhat demonstrative and an interesting as well as refreshing stout particularly for warm days. bit of root particularly light sassafras flavor.

Definitely a lighter stout. Pretty average with a malty aroma and flavor. Not too alcoholic or filling.

St. Mary’s Ga. - J P’s Spirit and Wines - 12 oz bottle. Dark black, motor oil looking pour with a thin, but long lasting khaki colored head. Aroma has some earthy, potting soil accents, a bit of black coffee. Solid stout flavor with some dark unsweetened chocolate, potting soil, day old black coffee. Mouthfeel has a nice bit of chalkiness to it, Rather impressed.
