COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark and Drinkable. A smooth and classic sweet stout. This dark rich brew is a combination of roasted malts and hops that bring the chocolate and coffee flavors to life.

Let’s say you up and decide to throw a wooden barrel of ale in a public display of manliness (I know, just go with it). How then to celebrate? Hint: You’re holding the answer. That’s right, a Dundee Stout. "Stout" is, after all, what brewers have been calling the darkest, heaviest and "burliest" of their ales since 18th century England. That said, ours is sweet, creamy and ironically, pretty light in texture. So maybe the tough part’s not lifting it after all. The tough part’s putting it down once you have. Go figure.

This stout poured a deep black colour with a big, tan coloured, foamy head. Kind of odd its not creamier. To the nose there are scents of cocoa, wine, light coffee and roasted malt. First sip was slightly creamy with way too much carbonation for a stout. Roasted flavours with hints of cocoa and toast. Finish is smokey with a thin palate.

Aroma of cocoa mulch and coffee (maxwell house that is) Basic brown to black appearance, seems very oily. Flavor is a mainly bitter, with dull nutrisweetness at finish. Thin for stout, somewhat slimy. A disappointment when expectations are high, but about what I expected for the brewer and price point

bigrond (1499) - factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 26, 2012
This was one of the worst stouts I’ve ever had. Taste and overall palate were absent, completely. Utterly disappointing from start to finish. If your offered this, pass on it.

Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Dark brew iwth tan head. Aroma of waek raosted malts. Taste is slightly sweet malt at the start with a little roasted malt / coffee towards the end. Very light bodied with a thin palate. Weak and inoffensive, not a particularly well done stout.

A solid stout. Purs dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma is normal for a stout. Good stout flavor. I bought a variety case for $25 and was a good bang-for-your-buck beer.

Deep brown cloudy body and thin, light tan head. Toast, cheap coffee, ’zoethout’ and roasted grains. Not overly rich. Watery feel, bit thin on the tongue. Some cream and a roasted end. Okay. (12oz bottle on Florida trip)

Black with red hue, good head, spotty lacing, leaves a nice froth. Aroma has some sweet malt bready carmel very slight chocolate. Some fruit-yeast character. Taste is carbonation light coffee chocolate with slight sweet carmel a bit of fig or raison possibly berrry. This seems medium body but maybe kinda light, finish is clovey almost diet and ligtht, thin finish kinda watery kinda citrusy .Doesnt finish up real well. An Ok below averageish stout. One and done. Possibly half this then dump.

12 oz bottle for the sampler case. This is a fair to good summer stout that won’t weigh you down with heaviness or body. Flavors are all there and you can’t beat the price (at least in Pittsburgh where a case sells for $24.99)

Dark pour but not black. Thick head. Nose offers little. Soft chocolate hints. Taste is the same. Soft cocoa and toffee. Not very rich or flavorful but easy drinking. Nothing great but a stout that doesn't sit heavy ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours silky black with a small off white head. Aroma is mostly lightly roasted malts. Taste is thin in body, lightly roasted malts. Fairly boring.
