COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American style unfiltered wheat beer. Pale straw in color, our Hefeweizen exhibits a light cloudiness from carefully selected wheat and yeast. With its spicy wheat malt aroma and crisp hop finish our Hefeweizen is a light, pleasantly flavorful beer ideal for warmer weather.

12oz bottle-pours a white head that dissipates to a ring and hazed gold color. Aroma is light/medium malt, floral-coriander, maybe some honey. Taste starts thin, mid taste light/medium malt, floral-coriander, maybe some honey, finishes floral/seltzery. No banana/clove.

Gold/yellow color; white, frothy head; moderate lacing; head becomes a large ring on the surface around the glass. Aroma wheat, citrus, yeast, and sour. Flavor also sour, with a metallic note; not much redeeming in the flavor. Light body. Weak.

Decent amber color. Taste of wheats with a hint of hops and what seemed like a hint of butterskoch. Somewhat watered down. Ok for a hefe, but very weak all around.

Hazy yellow with thin white head. Aroma of sweet malts, wheat, light yeast. Very light taste with some light sweet malts, caramel and diacetyl and very light hop finish. There’s next to nothing going on with this beer. Eh, I guess it goes down easy.

Astringent. Medicinal. Spicy finish. No qualities of a good hefe. Bad attempt at a nice summer style beer.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma of wheat and malt. Flavor is .......wait what flavor. Who put the water in my hefe, is this a cruel joke. Honesty there is a little wheat, a little bitterness and it doesn’t taste bad it just aint that good.

Quite possibly the worst hefe I have ever had. Nearly flavorless and a palate that was like sandpaper. None of the redeeming flavor profiles one would want in a hefe.

...nothing like a real hefe. I don’t know why these guys even tried this style if they can’t get anything else right. Too watered down, no wheat malt flavor, no sediment, no creaminess. Better than many other US beers, but still not good. Poor attempt.

Bottle poured into shaker- poured transparent light copper golden color, white ring around the glass for a head, light carbonation, aroma of light wheat and grass. Hits the mouth with a thin body, a good taste of wheat hits the mouth to the midsections of the swallow, finish has a sweet and sour note (honey and lemon). Interesting take on the style.

Pours clearer, straw color with 2 inch white head that goes to 1 inch in 2 minutes. Beer is very slightly but cloudy but mostly see-thorough, and has very little bubbles. Good medium-light, crisp, malty, wheat nose. Flavor is mostly malty wheat. Mouthfeel is drinkable, smooth, and largely uncarbonated. Flavor leaves a little to be desired, but the beer has enough to be enjoyable. It’s a little sweet too and has some honey undertones. It’s a good example of an American Hefeweizen, unlike Widmer’s attempt, as opposed to a German one and should not be compared as such.
