2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Cletus (6064) - Connecticut, USA - OCT 14, 2009
Another non-descript American wheat beer. Some wheat notes are present, but otherwise not much going on here.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 DocLock (5970) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 20, 2007
Hazy dark strawish pour with aroma of slight hopcitrus, some lemongrassy malt, and slight spicy notes. Medium to light palate heft, with some hopcitrus, lemony hints, and mild fruit. Not a great hefe.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Ratman197 (5928) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAR 11, 2007
Bottle poured a cloudy golden amber with a small lasting white head. Aromas of wheat, dough and yeast. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of wheat, cereal and a faint hint of spice with a crisp finish.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 daknole (5856) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - NOV 13, 2009
Bottle. Hmmm, this one sucks. Yellow pour, big head. Wheat, faded yeast, light fruit and watery malt aroma. Flavor is watery, dull, a bit of wheat. Nothing really good here.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Ughsmash (5827) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 11, 2010
Bottled. Poured slightly hazy straw golden with a light fizzy white head. The aroma picked up toasted grains and vegetal notes, with lemon zest accents.. wet dog as it warmed up. The flavor found honey and vegetal notes at the core (just slightly more honey), with light wheat and lemony tartness around.. sticky and unpleasant on the finish. Light-bodied and dry on the palate.. the tartness was welcoming, but none of the rest of the brew came together.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 jerc (5591) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 22, 2009
2009-04-21. Bright pee yellow, small off-white head. Muted grassy aroma, muted pale malt. Flavour is likewise muted, light grassy grainy bitterness. Average palate borders on thin. Boringly inoffensive. Bottle from Premier Gourmet
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Cornfield (5277) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - AUG 24, 2006
For an "unfiltered wheat" (from the commercial description), this sure pours a clear golden body. Nice thick head... for a while. It smells of toasted wheat, honeycomb, and lemon zest. The flavor retains the toasted wheat but gains the bitterness one experiences when accidentally crunching on an orange pip. The brewer really thinks this is a hefeweizen?

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Drake (5232) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JUN 2, 2009
12 ounce bottle from a sampler. Pours a hazy lemon orange color with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Boring aroma of bread and yeast. Hardly any fruit or spice notes. Taste is bread, very light citrus, yeast and a fair bit of spice. Much better than the aroma. Body is a bit on the thin side.
2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 shrubber85 (5057) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - AUG 12, 2006
Bottle. Wheat and banana aroma with note of acidity. Very lightly cloudy yellow amber color with moderate head. Lemon wheat flavor - slight hint of hops. The aroma gave me some hope but the flavor left me flat - an average Am wheat.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 BBB63 (5026) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - NOV 21, 2008
Bottle, clean golden hue with a lasting frothy head and some lace. The aroma has notes of wheat and pale malt, dirty yeast esters and very little fruit or spice esters normally associated with a good wheat beer. The taste is equally mundane with mild wheat husks and grains, some honey and corn, little else. The mouth feel is sprite and thin. Weeee, another paint-by-numbers pathetic American Wheat.
