COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American style unfiltered wheat beer. Pale straw in color, our Hefeweizen exhibits a light cloudiness from carefully selected wheat and yeast. With its spicy wheat malt aroma and crisp hop finish our Hefeweizen is a light, pleasantly flavorful beer ideal for warmer weather.

Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 12 oz bottle - part of mixed 12 pak. Murky medium gold pour with a thin white head. Orange marmalade in the aroma with some slight funkiness. Odd flavor with some brief citrus, some toe jam, a hint of peach jam and some unidentifiable spice. Too carbonated mouthfeel. Somewhat forgettable.

Bottle: Pale golden, hazy, moderate foamy white head, minor lacing, lively carbonation.   Stale bready nose, musty cereal, not much here resembles a wheat beer.   Pretty much the same on the tongue, stale, cereal like maltiness.   I dont get much wheat factor out of this one.   Just about on the thin side, for a wheat beer that is.   Finishes with just a start of some overcooked vegetable.   Nearing the end of this bottle?   Maybe... but based on what it is now I doubt it would be that great to begin with.

On tap at Ortinos Pizza. Pours a hazy orange amber with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel, light citrus (very light), very artificial smelling in general. Flavor of grain, grass, sweet malty corn slight hint of citrus and metallic. No way is it a Hefe and it’s not even good.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is apricot, honey and grass. Thin body. Flavor is very similar to the aroma, honey, apricot and caramel. Not that bad.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2009 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Got this in a sampler pack with several other JWs. Clean and refreshing, but lacking the complexity a hefe needs, even for an American

Appearance: Pours a clear, bubbly (like a soda), golden body with a small, fizzy, white head. Smell: Very mild wheat scent but with plenty of sweetish, honeyed cereal notes. Taste: Pale maltiness, slight wheat tone and a medium sweetness present. One drop of lemon juice. Three drops of clover honey. Tremendously light hop taste and bitterness. Finishes bubbly, crisp, with a lingering sweetness. Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation, though fizzy like a soda. Drinkability: Fairly far removed from a traditional hefeweizen, it’s aptly thrown under the generic "wheat ale" heading. Light, refreshing, and with a generally agreeable taste, though very, very light. If you’re looking for a wheat ale with more, well... anything, then you’d best look elsewhere.

The aroma is metallic with grassy hops, wheat, and other adjunct malts. The appearance is golden with a slight hazing and the head is foamy. The flavor is like the aroma with too much metal and adjuncts that ruin the otherwise nice wheat taste. The palate is smooth. Overall it’s approaching a good beer but not quite there.

Actually smells pretty decent. Really this is probably the best of these Dundees I’ve had, and from a non-hefe kind of guy. Probably because it seems closer to a light lager than a hefe. Not much wheat or fruit.

Hazy orange yellow body with a small creamy white head. Sweet light banana aroma. Thin banana flavor, light what hints. Fairly non-descript.

12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark gold body with a very minimal white head. Not a whole lot of aroma going on here, some heavy wheat and a light yeastiness, but it doesn’t smell like Hefe yeast at all. The flavor is thick and heavy wheat with some bready and yeasty dough. No fruity esters that you associate with a Hefe. I guess that’s why they call it an American style hefeweizen on the label. Thick heavy mouthfeel. Soft fizzy carbonation. Not exactly light and refreshing. I finished the bottle, but wouldn’t grab a second. Ever.
