COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American style unfiltered wheat beer. Pale straw in color, our Hefeweizen exhibits a light cloudiness from carefully selected wheat and yeast. With its spicy wheat malt aroma and crisp hop finish our Hefeweizen is a light, pleasantly flavorful beer ideal for warmer weather.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a slightly hazy typically carbonated dark yellow colored body and an excellent lacing. The aroma was hoppy malty bready and dough. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt mild hops and dough. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

JW Dundee’s Hefeweizen is a slightly cloudy, very sparkling light golden ale with a thin white head that leaves nice lacing. It has a very fresh aroma that seems to come mostly from the hops. It’s citrusy with a little bit of biscuit. It is pretty light bodied, very crisp and quite smooth. The flavor is very mellow, but bright and lemony. It’s a total American Wheat-- hardly a Hefeweizen. There is a little bitterness at the end of the taste and the hops match the flavor of the wheat very well. It’s very refreshing!

This calls itself an American style hefeweizen. It is probably not my favorite style, whatever it is. Golden pour. Nice drawing of the sun on the label. Lightly sweet aroma of malt and yeast. The flavor is better than I expected. It is a crisp, light hefe/wheaty, without any added spices or citrus. It could probably handle a slice of lemon added to it. The wheat malt flavor dominates. This is not as rich and yeasty as German hefeweizens. Maybe that is what Dundee means by American style. This is a nice take on the hefeweizen/wheat style. It is crisp, summery, and underrated.

Aroma: freshly harvested grain. Nice cloudy straw color with persistent small bubbles. Flavor is respectable hops with citrus, pine and faint metallic notes, understated wort. Palate is full and satisfying with good carbonation and decent hop aftertaste. I am not much of a hefe fan, but I would drink this again.

From a weizen glass... Three massive fingers of head. Cloudy dull yellow. Lots of carbonation. Looks like a mild hefeweizen. Spiderweb of lace. A mild wheat aroma that makes it smell halfway between a hef and a wit. More to the clove/hef side though. The smell is a little weak (partially because it has trouble breaking through the thick head), but nice enough. An initial flavor of bubble gum, and very mild banana. The wheat really comes out. It’s a good, mild flavor. The clove and banana come out with warmth. Nice, chewy thickness, but not heavy. Nicely elastic feel. A nice, mild and summery drink Substantial but not at all thick.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2011 Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. About ¾ inches to an inch of head. Color was a hazy golden. Some lacing on the top and an uneven film on the side of the glass. Each stayed throughout. Wheat led the smell, but also some grains, and slight hints of lemon and hops. Three different tastes combined, including wheat, grains and lemon. That being said, all were light and fairly bland. Pretty high on the carbonation. Somewhat refreshing, crisp and clean. Not too bad of a beer, especially compared to some of the others in the 10-pack I got from BevMo. Some of these ratings could have changed either way. Nothing special, nothing too bad.

~Pours a cloudy gold with lots of carbonation and a big foamy white head. ~Sweet and somewhat spicy wheat, yeast, and malt scent. ~Sweet malty wheat flavor with slightly spicy hops. ~Crisp clean feel, sweet and mildly bitter finish. ~A refreshing wheat beer. I enjoy the slight sweetness and spice in it.

a mildly cloudy pour with a dark gold color and champagne bubbles. aroma is somewhat citrusy and yeasty. flavor is bright and refreshing with lots of bready undertones. i dont know why this gets such a low score. its a lot better than most american wheats.

Bottle. Pours hazy gold with mellow soft head. Smells wheaty, grainy with slight banana, clove hints. Tastes grainy and bitter, wheaty with hints of cloves and some banana flavor. Some hints of hops also present. Not too bad.
