HonkeyBra (1279), Lemont, Illinois, USA Sep 27, 2008 Pours golden. One of the worst beers I’ve ever had. Soapy aroma, cardboard flavor. Also sucks. WISEGUY572 (1244), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 23, 2008 Do I have to say anything at all? OK, I will. Crystal clear amber, more like a filtered amber ale than a wheat. Not much head ... not much wheat protein survived the filtering? A little lemon flavor, a little sweetness. Not a white, not a hefe ... not sure what it is. jimig (23), , Texas, USA Sep 21, 2008 I am embarrassed to see American style wheat beer means flavor less and disappointing, then I am giving up this style. The flavor is very very light and lacks the yeast it needs. Easy finish, made for amateurs. berkshirejohn (1771), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Sep 16, 2008 12 oz bottle. Slightly hazy amber with a loose cream head; slightly spicy citrus aroma; fresh citrus flavours with good bitterness and some spice towards the finish. Very pleasant and refreshing, but not a typical wheat beer. scottw86 (180), Maryland, USA Sep 10, 2008 Poured very clear for a wheat beer. Aroma was not very interesting, maybe some hops. Taste was mainly of wheat, but there were some strange spices and the finish left a bad taste in my mouth. Not a great wheat beer. mcjay (302), Neenah, Wisconsin, USA Sep 5, 2008 Cloudy golden color with a foamy white head and a light hop aroma. Typical american hefeweize but little on the pale side. JPDIPSO (4865), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Sep 2, 2008 Near cloudy straw colored liquid. Thick, fairly lasting white head. Aromas of wheat, pale malt and hints of floral hops and lemongrass. Wheat, light honey and lemon in the flavors. Simple wheat/american ale. Quite typical and boring. DerBiermeister (504), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Sep 1, 2008 Smells like butter & cheese, strangely. Looks clear golden with bubbles. Flavor is buttery / cheesy / watery / not so much wheaty...maybe the buttery / cheesy taste is somehow yeast, but I dunno...tastes weird to me. The palate is light and about two or three dimensional. There is little carbonation. My overall impression is positive but underwhelmed.
