PorterPounder (3132), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 31, 2008 Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 12 oz bottle - part of mixed 12 pak. Murky medium gold pour with a thin white head. Orange marmalade in the aroma with some slight funkiness. Odd flavor with some brief citrus, some toe jam, a hint of peach jam and some unidentifiable spice. Too carbonated mouthfeel. Somewhat forgettable. Homebrewerguy (284), Oil City, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 24, 2008 Pours golden yellow with a nice head and lacing, aroma has slight citrus hop notes, flavor is modest barley & wheat notes, balance is nice with not much standing out anywhere, Basically a light session ale SSSteve (2047), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Aug 23, 2008 now labeled as "dundee wheat ale" with a new look to confuse me into buying this crap all over again. no more j.w. hazy light orange under a foamy white head. aroma is almost nonexistent. smells like a pale lager. flavors of...well there isn’t much really. watery texture, light bodied. is this water? phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Aug 20, 2008 Sampled from bottle: pours a light yellow colour which is maybe a tiny bit hazed. Head is weak and quick to dissipate. Aroma is slightly of lemon and wheat. Taste is light, fruity- very little creaminess which is what i expected. Decent but nothing great. Earlier Rating: 8/12/2008 Total Score: 2.7 This brew pours a hazey golden colour with a large fluffy white head. Aroma is pretty weak, little notes of orange peel berries and wheat. Taste is a litle dull also. Semi sweet with a weak slightly watery finish. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA Aug 19, 2008 8/19/08: Bottle. Bright yellow body with a thick white head - some lace. Light hay nose. Flavors include grass, wheat and a bit of pepper. afireinside96 (807), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 18, 2008 12oz bottle served in a shaker glass. Muddy yellow color with a thin white head. Smells of wheat but also sour grains. No real taste, creamy mouthfeel. Don’t buy it. AskForJenny (627), Ontario, New York, USA Aug 18, 2008 12oz - Not much on nose, nice pour, good flavor with a bright wheat profile. A little on the sweet side, High Falls’ traditional signature and shortcoming at times. Earlier Rating: 10/25/2007 Total Score: 1.9 Waxy mouth feel, overpowering lemon flavor. Is this beer or Pledge? I for one am not sure. hopson (591), Williamsville, New York, USA Aug 15, 2008 sampler- a nice example of the style- smooth, easy drinking, with some esters going on as well as that characteristic american wheat yeasty flavor.
