| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 28, 2008 Bottle poured into shaker- poured transparent light copper golden color, white ring around the glass for a head, light carbonation, aroma of light wheat and grass. Hits the mouth with a thin body, a good taste of wheat hits the mouth to the midsections of the swallow, finish has a sweet and sour note (honey and lemon). Interesting take on the style. kidmartinek (980), austin, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 27, 2008 Pours clearer, straw color with 2 inch white head that goes to 1 inch in 2 minutes. Beer is very slightly but cloudy but mostly see-thorough, and has very little bubbles. Good medium-light, crisp, malty, wheat nose. Flavor is mostly malty wheat. Mouthfeel is drinkable, smooth, and largely uncarbonated. Flavor leaves a little to be desired, but the beer has enough to be enjoyable. It’s a little sweet too and has some honey undertones. It’s a good example of an American Hefeweizen, unlike Widmer’s attempt, as opposed to a German one and should not be compared as such. jimhilt (1674), Bow, New Hampshire, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 14, 2008 Pours a five finger white head that fades to a thin layer leaving some lace. Nearly clear amber color. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Virtually no nose. Flavor is light lemon and wheat. $1.50 for a 12oz bottle from Capitol Convenience Concord, NH. unclemattie (2402), Georgia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Apr 2, 2008 12oz twist-off bottle. Other ratings state that this beer pours clear. NOPE! My pour is hazy, golden with a white foamy head. Just like a Wheat should look like. Aroma of lager yeast. Barely any wheat aromas or the standard banana. It is there but very very faint. Flavor is bland malt. Lacks quite of bit of flavor. The texture is full. Not to heavily bodied. Finishes dry. Good overall, just lacks a bready profile. A very great beer for a BMC looking to convert, unfortunate for me and my tastebuds... ILoveNewBeer (113), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Apr 1, 2008 Goes down as smooth as a Bud Light. I think it even smells similar to it. I don’t like this beer and I was happy with the sampler up to this point. I was greatly disappointed because I usually like Hefe’s. heemer77 (4303), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Mar 27, 2008 Bright gold body that is perfectly clear of any of that distracting yeast. We wouldn’t want any character in our beer now, would we? The aroma is strong diacetyl with some bananas hiding behind that character. The taste is like butterscotch candy mixed with cheap margarine. Not much else going on in this mess. tgncc (809), Bellmore, New York, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Mar 15, 2008 I qualify this by saying that this is not my favorite type of beer at all. For what it is, it’s straight down the middle average. The aroma is strongly wheat, no spices or sweetness. The color is a yellow with red tinge, and the beer has a hazy appearance, weak white head. The taste is typical to the style, mostly wheat, slightly hoppy, with a lingering hop finish. Medium mouthfeel. Not bad, I suppose. beanmedic (324), Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
