Commercial Description:
An American style unfiltered wheat beer. Pale straw in color, our Hefeweizen exhibits a light cloudiness from carefully selected wheat and yeast. With its spicy wheat malt aroma and crisp hop finish our Hefeweizen is a light, pleasantly flavorful beer ideal for warmer weather.

12oz bottle 3/3/09 (Sam’s Wine-Downers Grove)-Pours a hazy yellow with a small white covering for a head. Aroma of wheat, grains, honey, and citrus. Taste of wheat and hops. This light bodied brew does not fit the style and has a hop finish which I can say I have never had in a Hefe but it would work fine on a hot summer day.

Poured a big, albeit short lasting head and a gold brown body. Smelled of honey and cereal, with a little bit of butter. Tasted buttery, but also of dust/attic.

Bottle. Pours with a small white head that goes rapidly over a hazed yellow body. No lace. Aroma of wheat, lightly spicy malt, honey and light citrus zest. Taste is pretty boring and watery with malt, honey, cardboard, cereal, light fruity esters and a touch of citrus. Fizzy and dry.

had this at a beerfest. Boring beer. Not much flavor, not much to remember. I didn’t really enjoy this one. Will skip it next time.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange yellow with medium white head. Aroma is wheat, caramel, and sour apple. Flavor is wheat, something sweet, something sour, and something metallic. Weird sensation on the palate, but thin overall. Not very good, it is actually kind of funky, I wouldn’t bother with this again.

Bad and cheap aroma. Smells like an undeveloped banana and clove. Too muted for me; virtually no aroma. Translucent orange color. Looks decent, but it doesn’t fool me. It is as though the hops are stronger than the fruity, or even yeast parts of the beer. Very weak. I taste the damn hops, but other than that I am at a loss. I got this one in a mix pack, so just out of it being in the damn pack I am trying it. I don’t "mind" this beer, but just a very poor way to brew a beer. The slightest taste of citrus comes through, and this is the slightest possible without it even being there. Just a beer that I think, "why I am I just not drinking a regular pale lager?"

Bottle Pours a hazy golden with a small white head that leaves very quickly. Aroma of soapy hops. Has a decent carbination. An okay mouthfeel. Taste is a touch light. A hint of fruitiness. Finish is light but okay. Not awful but not great either.

poured yellow with minimal hop nose. Thin taste with spice and hop. Not very memorable.
