Cavie (1318), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Feb 8, 2009 I rather enjoyed this wheat. I realize it hasn’t gotten rave reviews, but as far as I’m concerned, it can hold it’s own. ecbeerguy (86), East Chicago, Indiana, USA Oct 26, 2006 Not too tart...just right. A nice aroma, that doesn’t overpower. As the saying goes, if it looks like a duck......well it looks like a hefe....I really like the flavor. A nice bit of carbonation, maybe a bit too much, but nicely balanced. A very enjoyable brew. BigBen2120 (688), Derry, New Hampshire, USA Aug 9, 2007 12oz brown bottle as part of their variety 12-pack. Hazy amber body with a half inch of off-white head. Smells slightly sweet with hints of lemon. Tastes sweet with fruit playing a big role, lemon, pith, and banana being chief among them. Lighter in body, making this a fairly drinkable beer, albeit a simple one. Tasty and non-offensive... Nothing wrong with this one. rampmaster (316), Alden, New York, USA Jun 14, 2008 Presentation: Poured from a 12oz bottle into my “duff beer” hefeweizen glass. It has a light hazy golden color with an off white or light beige head. The head builds up thick and slowly fades to a thinner covering. The lace is slick and sides down with the beer as I drink it. The aroma has sweet wheat and doughy malt essence along with a light, all most fruity yeast as well. The flavor has some sweet doughy malt and wheat flavors that are a bit light and thin but refreshing. The finish has a light crisp citrus edge that I like. Its body is light with a smooth creamy palate. It a nice safe flavor. Nothing is out of balance or offensive just mellow.
Codythegreat (133), Carrollton, Georgia, USA Nov 12, 2007 Pours a dark yellow, hazy colour with a white haed that discipates quickly. Smells of honey. A pretty good tasting wheat ale but I have had better (Paulaner Hefeweissen). A little bit of a citrusy aftertaste. I drank this out of a lager glass because that is the closest thing I have to a Weissen. hopson (591), Williamsville, New York, USA Aug 15, 2008 sampler- a nice example of the style- smooth, easy drinking, with some esters going on as well as that characteristic american wheat yeasty flavor. badlizard (2325), Berkeley, California, USA Dec 30, 2008 Bottle from Bevmo. Sweet honey and grain aroma and taste with some mild grape notes. Decent. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA Aug 13, 2007 Got a pair of these in the JW Craft Pack. Didn’t expect to care for this at all, but was pleasantly surprised. Light orange, slightly hazy look, with a big white head in a weizen glass. Smell is definitely lemony, and light wheaty malt. Big Carbonation, with a light taste at first with lemon and acidity, followed by a finish of wheat and sweetness. Very decent American wheat.
