3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 burg326 (1112) - Florida, USA - NOV 1, 2011
On draft at the brewery. Poured a hazy yellow with a slightly peach/apricot syrup with a twinge of wheat aroma. Flavor follows the aroma, but not as sweet as i expected as the aroma indicated. Decent Florida beer to enjoy in the heat.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 hopscotch (7534) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 6, 2009
Draft… Cloudy, deeply golden ale with a small, frothy, white head. Decent retention. The aroma is a strange, but welcomed blend of buttery popcorn, sourmash and boiled grain with a moderate fruit component. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with gentle carbonation. The modestly tangy flavor offers spent mash, buttery popcorn, a whisper of bourbon and an afterthought of fruit. Tangy, fruity finish. This is a total train wreck of a beer, but the mish mash of flaws really works for me and creates a truly stand-out wheat ale. Certainly one-of-a-kind.

Draft. Pours an apple juice colored body with a white fizzy head. Floral and candied sweet aromas, some light dried cots with a mild sugar sweetness. Comes together pretty well overall, mildly sweet and lightly chewy, not my style but well done i felt.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ibrew2or3 (4914) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAR 7, 2009
Poured on tap at the brewery a hazy dull gold to copper with 60 second bright white head. It was served very cold as usual here. Even being near frozen it emitted a decent enough aroma with a load of apricot and maybe a dash of wheat. The taste is full up front apricot that bleeds into mild notes of cherry and wheat. By midway and to the finish apricot fruit tang mixing with floral hops join in and usher the flavor to the finish. Fruit beers like this aren’t my bag. It seems well made.

Draft at International Beer Garten (Lutz, FL). Pours a hazy copper orange color with a good sized white head. Nice lacing. The sweet aroma contains lots of apricot and some malt. The flavor is not as sweet as you would expect from the aroma, which is a good thing. The bartender suggested trying it mixed with and IPA next time. I gave it a try (mixed with Dogfish 60 min) and it was actually really good. An interesting way to kick up the hops.

Tap at Dunedin at RBWG 2010 bus tour. Pours a mostly clear deep honey golden with a thinning white head. Aroma is sweet, jammy, artificially sweetened and flavored with syrup, almost like an apricot and orange marmalade blend with some wheaty crackery notes. Flavor is solvent bready jammy apricot preserves, sweet and a bit thick in the middle- finish is ok and a bit sweet.
