Draught at the brewery on January 30, 2011 As part of a sampler plate Clear dark copper color, off-white head. Roasted, dry, coffee taste. Lingering roasted aftertaste. Moussy mouthfeel, medium high dry bitterness. Roasted, malty, slight bit fruity scent.

On tap at the brewery. Medium brown in color with a thin white head. Mild chocolate aroma when cold, but a good caramel aroma at warming. Rich chocolate and roasted coffee flavor. This is full bodied and good. A bit of a burned finish.

On tap, at brewery, RBWG 2010. Clear reddish brown body with a small fizzy beige head. Light nutty and slightly grainy nose with some light-roast coffee. The flavor is dry and nutty with light hop bitterness. Pretty solid, just a light graininess. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty darn good, probably the best beer on tap that day.
