32 ounce waxed growler, poured a yellow/orangish color with aromas of caramel, citrus, light cinnanmon, and other Christmas spices. Flavor is much the same, cinnanmon wasnt a huge flavor in this beer, and rather enjoyed this beer a lot.

Very cloudy amber. Clove alspice and malty aromas. Medium plus aroma. Crisp malty flavor with sweet mid palate and long finish. Good example of a Christmas Beer.

On tap at the brewery. Pours amber red with fluffy head. Nose is christmas spice and malt. Tastes malty, of brown sugar, caramel, cinnamon and nutmeg, and good old earth.

On draft at 7th Sun Brewing Tap House. Pours an orange-yellow with a white head. Nose is caramel, orange, spice, cinnamon like crazy, and a hint of light booze. Flavor is similar- very cinnamon forward, followed closely by oranges, citrus, malt, and other spices. My notes say "spice forward" in several places. Medium-bodied for a barley wine style (I believe). Interesting take on the style, and the spices go far with a bit of cinnamon burn (ala Fireball Candy) into the finish.

Wow, pricey light weight house brew coming in at 5 bones per pint. As usual they serve their brews up too damn cold. This rating is being made without the sugar and cinnamon coated orange wedge pushed onto the rim of the glass. I was instantly curious to find out what sort of flavor flaws they are covering up with the adjunct laden orange wedge. Pours somewhat hazy rusty brown with off white head. The aroma is moderate and is heavy on the cinnamon. Behind the cinnamon are notes of winter spice and a bit of cherry hard candy. This is a really fresh brew and that comes across with bright punctuated flavors notes. I get crystal malts that transition over to roasted malts, nuttiness then highly roasted malts and a touch of coffee. By midway cinnamon and winter spices surface. As the finish approaches notes of brown sugar and some earthy to spicy hops well up amid a touch of pine. Pretty tasty stuff with plenty of flavor.

Tap at Redlight. Pours a hazy brownish red. Very spicy cinnamon, holiday spice aroma. Taste is smooth malt accented with more of the cinnamon and nutmeg. Wasn’t knocked out by it.

redlight (2265) - Winter Park, Florida, USA - DEC 17, 2009
draft @ redlight redlight. Caramelly spicy nose very floral with cinnamon notes. Pours an amber red with a fluffy white head. Heavy caramel malts with spices cinnamon, corriander, maybe traces of cardamom as well. The spices are prominent but not over powering. For a spiced beer its not bad.

Lubiere (6988) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 13, 2010
A reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. Light spiced malt aroma, cinnamon, very restrained. In mouth, a nice x-mas ale with a nice amber ale base overlayed with ginger and cinnamon, very festive, not bad. Medium bodied. Tasted at brewpub, Dec. 12 2009.
