Very chewy and oily, does not have the Bite of a double. Sweet, hibiscus, malty caramel.

burg326 (3575) - Florida, USA - JUN 7, 2012
On tap at brewery, poured a light golden yellow, aromas of citrus, pine resin, and light wet dank hops. Flavors are the same, not a big bitter aftertaste as expected.

Miver (609) - Silver Spring, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 14, 2010
Draft at Brewpub. Poured hazy golden orange in color with a small off white head. Left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of grapefruit, sweet citrus (orange, mango), piney hops. Tastes of grapefruit, orange, piney hops, slightly earthy grain. Finish is fairly dry.

BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - SEP 11, 2010
Draft @ Brewpub: Unfiltered orange color with a light head and lacing. Nose of orange and grapefruit, mild citrus and dry hops. The flavor is citrus and grassy. Lots of hops and a mild caramel note in the finish. The hopse are good. Balanced.

Nice aroma of juicy hops. Nothing over the top. Light tropical notes of pineapple and mango. Some citrus flavors and finishes clean.

kramer (4866) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 22, 2010
On tap, at brewery, RBWG 2010. Pours a clear orangish body with a minimal wispy white head. The nose is a mix of citrusy hops and some tropical fruit notes over a lightly caramel and toasty malt base. The flavor is moderately bitter with a nice citrusy grapefruit hop bite that comes on a bit stronger than the malt. A little sweet in the middle, but the finish is lingering bitterness. Fairly full slightly sticky mouthfeel with moderate soft carbonation. Not the best IIPA, but not bad.

markwise (4427) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - MAY 28, 2010
On draft at CCB. Pours clear yellow-orange with frothy white head. Nose is caramel, pine, slight grapefruit, citrus, and malt. Flavor is similar with lots of grapefruit and bite into the finish.

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 14/20
Dickinsonbeer (5077) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - APR 18, 2010
Tap at Dunedin at RBWG 2010 bus tour. Pours a bright copper hazy body with a nice frothy lasting head. Aroma is mango tangerine, orange, citrus, pine notes, tropical, amarillo, and toasty malt sweetness. Flavor is caramel malts, toast, biscuit, citrus and tropical hops, juicy, resinous and pine, and I get a freezer burnt orange pop-sickle note in the end (thanks to willblake putting that one in my head!).

drowland (5981) - Valdosta, Georgia, USA - APR 7, 2010
On tap at the brewpub during RBWG 2010. The aroma is citrus soap and a touch of hop and the flavor is similar but with a bitter kick, yet still an underlying sweetness. Not great, not terrible.

   AROMA 8/10   APPEARANCE 5/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 15/20
Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - MAR 30, 2010
Draft. Pours an orange body with a white head. Really hoppy citrus tones, passion fruit, pineapple very pleasing aromatic character. A drying hop resinous body with a fruity sweetness, and just enough warming to relax ya, really great stuff i thought.
