jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jan 24, 2008 on tap-pours a dissipating to a ring tan head and copper color. Sweet medium malt, fruit-cherry, faint yeast. Taste is sweet medium malt, tart fruit-cherry, faint yeast, musty, faint earthy hops. Semi-dry. OK/mild carbonation. Ibrew2or3 (1756), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Jan 20, 2008 On tap @ brewery. Pours clear copper with off white head. The aroma comes across as rather fruity with cherries, prunes, figs, raisins and then plenty of winter spice that seems like coriander, cinnamon and cloves. The taste is fruity too like the nose starting with semi sweet cherries and moves toward figs, prunes and dates. A mild raisin and peppery-ness cuts the sweet fruitiness for a moment as the coriander, cinnamon and cloves come to the surface. I also get a faint caramel and malt sweetness that rides along the back of the flavor experience. elmatador00 (518), j-action-ville, North Carolina, USA Jan 14, 2008 Draft at brewery. Pours a cloudy brown color with a white head. Has hints of Christmas spice, Belgian yeast, caramel, and candied sugar. Finishes with a farmhouse funk sour flavor. Unique taste. Reminded me of a Saison.
