3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
An odd, edgy pickled olives, pinesmoke and lactose aroma, which almost overwhelms the actual flavor of the beer. Lame painted logo/label. Annoying 100% foam pour and over-persistant birdshot head (I mean, there wasn't even a line of beer at the bottom of a 10 inch glass.) Opaque black-brown. Balanced roast flavor which leaves a quick tang on the tip of the tongue before the finish. Overcarbonated in the bottle, needs to be poured and warmed. Fairly fast smokey finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Deliciouus, on the border between a dryish stout and a "normal" stout. Reminds me a bit of the Shipyard Blue Fin I had yesterday but richer, fuller, and a tad more sweet. A lot of coffee flavors, yes, but more; not totally deep roastiness. The pour is unusual in that you can tell its cloudiness right away. I am a sucker for this color brown head.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A dry stout that I enjoyed as a session brew at the brewery. The coffee malt was present with a slight but not unpleasant hop tone.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
As black as beers get with a thin tan foamy cover. Good, complex roasted peat-malt aroma reminiscent of some imperial stouts minus the alcohol. Body is robust and flavorful. This is a very respectable dry stout. I'd have to say Dunedin is the best brewery in Florida.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewery: This is one smooth beer. Had a good coffee/malt taste going. Had a nice hop bite at the end, which came as a pleasant surprise. Very enjoyable beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
couldn’t find this in dunedin’s listings, almost tried to add it...egads! i’d have been shot at dawn!! anyway, thick, opaque, black color with a dark tan clingy head. slight roasted coffee nose, a bit metallic. very nice mouthfeel--nicely balanced. roasted chocolate, malty and only slightly bitter. dunedin is a pretty impressive brewery, imho.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A thick, viscous, blacker-than-the-ace-of-spades oily stout. Crude oil with a nice, toasty brown head. When swirling the brew, the head coats the side of the glass, gradually sloughing off in tan sheets. Nose smells like a combination of burnt wood and cappucino. First flavor is very roasty, mainly with coffee-ish malts. Finish begins to sweeten with a caramel tone, lenthening out with the roastiness to taste a bit like a toasted marshmallow. Nicely creamy and full, darn good palate. Nice stout, surprising from this little brewery.

I don’t really like stout’s, but this was fairly good. Chocolate flavor, not too thick or powerful.
