The nitro helped this one a bit I think. Body made up for flavor. Dry roasted malts and cocoa with some coffee grinds and moss. Odd butterscotch flavor and lingers a bit. Not that bad overall.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with a super creamy thick dark beige head owing to the nitrogen dispensation. Lovely roasted aroma, thin in body. Exactly to style. Super smooth palate and easily quaffable. Great roasted malt taste.

Dickinsonbeer (5076) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - APR 18, 2010
Tap at Dunedin at RBWG 2010 bus tour. Pours a dark brown near black body with a creamy nitro head. Aroma is some vanilla creme, butter, light earthy chocolate, some roast notes, light coffee and sweet. Flavor is also sweet- lactose, cocoa powder, chocolate and vanilla with slight butter- somewhat slick finish. Eh.

drowland (6174) - Valdosta, Georgia, USA - APR 7, 2010
On tap at the brewpub during RBWG 2010. The aroma and flavor is mild chocolate, not nearly enough roast in this. The mouthfeel is too nitro, like drinking velvet, it’s too much.

At Oldsmar Taphouse. Aroma is roasted coffee, soy sauce, and slight yeast. Flavor is roasted malts, coffee, some smoke on the finish, also some wood barrel notes. Mouthfeel just a touch thin. Decent stout.

Draft. Pours a dark brune body with an off white head. Dry roast y and bitter, a creamy body i believe this was on nitro, i didn’t indicate for some reason. A soft simple dry irish stout that falls just below the mark.
