On tap at Mr. Dunderbak’s without Nitro and put on a surger. Pour is black with a one finger tan head that lasts leaving great lacing. Aroma is of light roasted malt and coffee. Taste is the same as aroma but a little more pronounced. Medium creamy mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness and dry finish. Very good.

Draft at Oldsmar Tap House. Pours an oily black with a rich, cascading mocha head. Flavor is moderately sweet, with a mild roastiness and some light hops to balance it out. Palate is smooth and creamy. Definitely a nice quaffer for a hot Florida day.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2008 On tap at Oldsmar Tap House. Poured a dark brown with tannish highlights. Big, foamy nitro head, and a ton of lacing. Subdued aroma, mostly various roasted malts and some chocolate. Big roasted coffee flavor, and malty as hell. Milky finish. Very smooth and drinkable, a perfect alternative to Guinness.

on nitro-pours a retaining light tan head that laces and black color. Aroma is dark malt-cocoa powder, peat, roasty, secondary acidic hops. Taste is dark malt-chocolate, peat, roasty, faint acidic hops. Minimum carbonation.

On tap at brewpub. Pours dark dark brown but coming up short of stout like jet black with tan head. The aroma is mild with roasted malts and burnt malts. The taste begins with highly roasted malts and a hint of malt astringency that helps create a bigger roasty malt punch. At the same point in time the burnt malts run through the flavor creating a tasty mix along with a slight malt sweetness. The beer ends roast, burnt and on the dry side. The burnt malts really linger into the after taste.

From tap at tasting : Pours dark brown with big long lasting offwhite creamy head. Nose of roasted coffee and chocolate. Not much on this one for taste, kinda bland. Very nice palate though, and goes down nicely.

Dark brown to black pour, creamy nitro induced head that of course has incredible staying power. Nose of dark malts, cold coffee, cocoa powder and bakers sugar. Flavor is what a dry stout should be, tons of roast and coffee notes. Medium bodied, super creamy mouthfeel. Finish is medium length. A very good dry stout!
