Quake1028 (628), Tampa, Florida, USA Oct 6, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Dark amber pour with a small off white head. Nose of sweet malts, small amounts of piney hops, funky yeast and fruits. Tastes much the same, nice balance of the fruity sweetness and the hops. Good stuff. SHIG (1557), Oberoffligen, Germany Feb 5, 2007 Bottle: Poured a hazy amber color with thick fast accuating head, very reactive with lots of carbonation. Sweet wheat and hoppy aroma. The flavor was sour and bitter at first but subsided to a mellow sweet malt. badgerben (3160), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Nov 22, 2006 Dark copper color with a thin head. Dry and dirty hop aroma. The taste is a little barnyard-ish, almost like a dull Saison. Way too carbonated. It feels like Champagne. kenb (945), Oregon, USA Nov 3, 2006 16 OZ bottle via degarth(thanks!). This pours out a semi-hazy copper with a small white head. I really cannot detect much in the nose, maybe some mellow caramel and toasty malts. Taste starts with some somewhat sweet but uninspring caramel, a bit of toastiness, a bit of hay, some lemon, and some mild British hops. Finish is almost dry...medium body. Chalky mouthfeel. Over-carbonated.... jjpm74 (3160), Stratford, CT 06614, Connecticut, USA Oct 15, 2006 Bottle from Degarth. Pours a dark copper with an off white head. Smells of earthy hops, some metallic elements, and some malt. Tastes of malt with aminimal hop presence and some nutty tinges.
