3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ernest (5185) - Boulder, USA - JAN 16, 2003
Head is initially large, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy
medium amber, dense tiny/small particles. Aroma is moderately yeasty
(horseblanket, barnyard), lightly malty (toasted light bread, caramel),
lightly hoppy (herbs), with light notes of peach and nutmeg. Flavor
is moderately sweet, moderately bitter, lightly acidic. Finish is
lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture,
fizzy carbonation. Over carbonated and thin bodied, but interesting and
unusual otherwise. Needs more malt for balance.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Quake1028 (633) - Tampa, Florida, USA - OCT 6, 2007
Draught at the brewpub. Dark amber pour with a small off white head. Nose of sweet malts, small amounts of piney hops, funky yeast and fruits. Tastes much the same, nice balance of the fruity sweetness and the hops. Good stuff.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 SHIG (2705) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - FEB 5, 2007
Bottle: Poured a hazy amber color with thick fast accuating head, very reactive with lots of carbonation. Sweet wheat and hoppy aroma. The flavor was sour and bitter at first but subsided to a mellow sweet malt.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 badgerben (4116) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - NOV 22, 2006
Dark copper color with a thin head. Dry and dirty hop aroma. The taste is a little barnyard-ish, almost like a dull Saison. Way too carbonated. It feels like Champagne.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 kenb (1102) - Oregon, USA - NOV 3, 2006
16 OZ bottle via degarth(thanks!). This pours out a semi-hazy copper with a small white head. I really cannot detect much in the nose, maybe some mellow caramel and toasty malts. Taste starts with some somewhat sweet but uninspring caramel, a bit of toastiness, a bit of hay, some lemon, and some mild British hops. Finish is almost dry...medium body. Chalky mouthfeel. Over-carbonated....
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Cletus (6063) - Connecticut, USA - OCT 15, 2006
Bottle from Degarth. Pours a dark copper with an off white head. Smells of earthy hops, some metallic elements, and some malt. Tastes of malt with aminimal hop presence and some nutty tinges.

Bottle. Very sour aroma. Cloudy red/brown colour. Small white head. Quite sour flavour, a little malty and spicy. Infected.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ibrew2or3 (4921) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - OCT 8, 2006
16oz bottle. Clear copper color with thin off white head. The aroma is on the light side with mostly sweet malts. Nice flavor. Starts off sweet then hops enter the picture almost midway. A rich caramel and slight fruitiness build right at the midpoint and recede into a grainy pale malt character. Tasty beer.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DocLock (5970) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 3, 2006
Thanks to Degarth for this. Pours coppery with 1-finger off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, brown sugar, vinous fruit, peaty earthiness, with a flvaor of peaty malt, caramel, some honey, brown sugar, and earthy notes. Finished slightly dry with some backdoor hops. This one isn’t as bad as the average might have you believe.

Mildly hoppy with a slight caramely touch. Honestly, it’s pretty thin and bland. Oktoberfests just aren’t my thing.
