On tap, at brewery, RBWG 2010. Pours a mostly clear amber body with a small fizzy off-white head. The nose is light caramel and toasty malt with a minimal note of hops. The flavor is slightly sweet caramel and toasty malt with a little bit of a husky earthiness on the finish. Just a light hint of hops. Lighter bodied with a touch of graininess and soft carbonation. Pretty forgettable Amber, but then again, most are.

12oz bottle from a BA trade - thanks, Stephen! Fairly vibrant pour, with a creamy head and a bright body. Soft grassy hops are detectable in the nose, thank goodness, because otherwise there’s not much to it. Somewhat thick mouthfeel seems to work well, and again there’s a bit of a hop bite to give some life to the fairly standard malt profile. Not bad.

Tap at Dunedin at RBWG 2010 bus tour. Pours a medium amber - clear with a decent head. Aroma is caramel, nuts, toast, but has solvent and chlorine- like they didn’t rinse the lines, or glass or something got into the beer? Flavor is light chemical, caramel malts, toffee, old earth hops, earth, flory and light sweetness- something was off in this one though.

draft at redlight redlight. pours a light very reddish amber with a white lacy head. the nose is pretty malty with subtle hints of hay and grain with a just a little hint of resinous hops though i would like to see all these notes be a lot bolder. The flavor is even weaker with a much too thin mouthfeel. drinkable and even a little crisp but not very impressive.
