Miver (376), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 3, 2008 Draft at brewery. Poured a hazy gold copper in color with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet with honey with a little sweet fruitiness. Tastes of really sweet honey, candi sugar, mild spices throughout. Alcohol warming present, but still a nice brew.
hopscotch (4433), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Aug 10, 2008 Draft... Cloudy, rust-colored ale with a creamy white head. Sweet, fruity, lightly spicy aroma. Full-bodied with lively carbonation. Sweet, hearty, malty flavor with no apparent candy sugar, but huge notes of honey. Lengthy, sweet, lightly acidic finish. 1FastSTi (2388), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Jun 10, 2008 Tap at the brewery. Pours to a murky fired pine colored body with no head. The flavor is full of light candi sugar and bubblegum with sweet golden raisins. Slightly cloying. The sweetness is really strong. The aroma, however, was surprisingly light. I was expecting huge sweet malts and got only a subtle bubblegum. The palate was really sweet. Once you get past that, it was a decent brew. Ibrew2or3 (1648), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA May 18, 2008 Poured up in a half pint glass from the tap at the brewery. The body has a full on haze to it carrying a copper – orange hue and thin off white head. The aroma is sweet honey, some maltiness, a hit of pepper, some Belgian candi sugar and assorted fruit notes. The taste is thick sweet malts, candi sugar and sweet citrus orange juice from the first sip. Later I get faint pepper to go along with notes of banana, prunes, sweet cinnamon and sugar coated apricots, honey and ripe red delicious apples. Never gets too tart or too sweet. Yummy offering.
