A hazed dark amber ale with a thin off white head. a nice lighlty spiced aroma with light butterscotch, nutty notes. In mouth, a sweet malt with pumpkin spices, honey notes, ginger, cloves, quite nice and balanced. On tap at brewpub, Jan 4 2011.

Pours cloudy amber orange. Light aromas on yeast. Light bodied palate is wheaty. Don’t taste any pumpkin at all. Did I get the right beer??

Poured up on tap at the Dunedin brewpub brewed up with lager yeast this time around. Be warned they serve it up with a cold pint glass rimmed with lots of cinnamon and sugar. Tap pour ends up looking copper with tan head and a sad display of injustice on the rim. The mild aroma is dominated by spices and sugar from the rim of the glass. I get faint hints of beer underneath. The taste has some firm notes of spicy hops, some winter spices, hints of pumpkin, some sweet malts and lageriness.
