2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 hennes (932) - Fountain, USA - JAN 4, 2003
Big fruity nose, the fruit steeped in brandy and cloying in the mouth. Strange, artificial tasting fare.

Bland, boring, watery, out of style, and served too cold....

Copper color. Smells like adhesive bandages. Very bland and tasteless overall. Mostly watery, and no trace of hops.

I would like to thank Joe M500 for this wonderful beer, I didn't think such an incrdible beer could exist in the world until now, thanks Joe. The appearance of this beer is actually pretty nice with a deep amber body topped by a thick off white quickly disappearing head with little lacing, but that is where the brewer seems to have stopped trying. I don't know what that aroma is but it's sweet and flowery like laundry detergent. One sip of this beer was enough for me. The flavor is similar to the aroma, except for the fact that you could pick out some hoppy notes. Really not worth a second sip let alone finishing the glass or bottle.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 BBB63 (5028) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - JUL 29, 2003
Dark amber with no head. Coy aroma of malted grains and alcohol. The taste wasn't much better, some malty sweetness with no punch, flat taste, boring. At least it was clean on the finish. Avoid.

Amber...because that is what recipe calls it. I think this is supposed to be the base for an Amber Ale and the brewer was supposed to add hops and malt because there is no trace of either. This is oily, bubblegum smelling, flat, and just plain bad. Not an ounce of effort went into the brewing of this beer.
