Deep brown, thin tight tan head. Toasted malt nose. Flavour follows the nose. Smooth, slightly slick mouthfeel. Lovely texture, quite light. Finish is more roasted malt. Minimal hops. Well balanced.

500 ml bottle in Blarney, Ireland. Very dark pour with a decent fizzy tan head. Aromas of chocolate. Flavor fell off and the flavor was a bit metallic. Lots of sediment but that was ok.

Bottle, big bubbly head with some lacing, opaque very dark brown to black colour, aroma of smoke and ash tray with milk chocolate and dark bread, flavour of charred wood and burned paper with some dark chocolate and hints of spice, chocolate cake and cocoa, medium bitterness, completly dry. Very good.

Another take away extra from Edinburgh crew. Nice dark pour with foamy head that goes nowhere. Nose is light toffee and chocolate. Tastes of dry chocolate, light toffee, licorice and red berries. Dry palate. Not too sweet and very drinkable.

Pours deep black with thick creamy brownish head. Smell has coffee, roasted malts and caramel. Starts with sweet sugary malts, burnt coffee and some chocolate. Middle part has more burnt coffee, paired with some chocolate. Goes into a slight bitter roasted coffee finish!
