COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with local oats from Flahaven’s mills and coffee specially roasted by Badger and Dodo, the oatmeal imparts a rich smoothness which balances the roasted flavours of the barley while in the background there’s a subtle hint of the earthy espresso flavours.

A really fine one - if you are into stouts and porters. Coffee with some roasted malt and some chocolate. Fine one shared with McTapps.

Bottle from Culchiem - many thanks! The beer pours out in a deep black colour with low creamy head and medium body. Aroma of malt and coffee. Taste of intense malt, torf, coffee, espresso, chocolate and leaves. Earthy finish. Very easy and nice to drink with a light smokey finish. Nice and enjoyable beer.

Dark but thin in color, no head after the initial pour into a nonic pint glass. Aroma is of coffee(duh) but also of the normal roasted malt notes of a typical dry stout. The overall feel of the beer is the taste is fine, nothing extraordinary and nothing off-putting, but very thin and watery. Had better expectations than this.

Black, foamy off-white head. Grain, oats, roast malt nose. Flavour similar plus coffee. Thick mouthfeel, low carbonation. Finish is long, lush coffee.

Bottle 50cl bought @ Cork. A dark beer with amber head. Nose is astringent and very roasted like. Aroma is very roasted, metallic, coffee touch, astringent, dry with caramel background. A bit disappointed, aftertaste is long and very roasted too, lot of dark malt there, sharp and ashes touch.

500ml, currently enjoying with friends so this must be short! Superb stout, better than last years IMO. Great with food or just a session beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
