February 15, 2011. Shared by garthicus with blankboy and me. 500ml bottle. Hazy copper with an average diminishing frothy off-white head. Lovely fruity aroma, yeasty and "Belgian" - smells a lot like a baked alaska, quite floral - almost 8/10! Taste is a tad harsh - apple and appleseed, young cheap chablis - green, bitter, some alcohol. Slick, astringent, weakly carbonated and light-bodied, finishes with some back-palate bitterness and dry acidity. Lovely aroma, a bit of a let-down afterward.

Bottle, thx sis. It pours more or less clear, light amber in color and topped by a dense, light beige head of moderate size. Some lacings. Sort of metallic nose with a light caramel touch, as well as malts and fruityness. Quite boring. The same goes for the flavor, it’s not bad, just boring. A pleasant bitterness makes up for some of the boredom, but it’s still a beer I certainly won’t do anything to find again. 120330

In bottle, thanks Gregor. Pours a cloudy amber colour with a thick white head. Aroma is quite fruity with yeast, biscuity malt and alcohol. A nice barnyard mustiness with honey, caramel and a yeasty linger. Moderate carbon ation and a dry finish. Light CO2 prickle and a lovely woody character. I really enjoyed this.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2011 I had this on cask at Bull and Castle in Dublin. Lovely fruity, blood orange colour with a very small head. Copper coast is full of fruit both in taste and smell. Aromas also include caramel, wet grass. Quite dry and sweet from the caramel and fruit, redcurrant, on the palate as well as a citrus bitterness. A pleasant Irish red ale.
