Pours copper colored with small head. Smell has some fruity and grassy hops. Starts with flowery hops and some roasty caramelly malts. Middle part has fruity and flowery hops. Goes into a bitter hoppy and flowery finish with some bitter malt notes.

The very best example of an Irish Ale Iíve had to date. Not my favorite style to be sure, but this was very easy to enjoy. Bready malts highlighted by a smoothness rarely found in Irish Aleís which tend to be over-carbonated. Beautiful finish on this one, another good one from this brewer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled, 0.5l. Slightly hazy copper color with thin beige head, soft carbonation and some yeast residue. Aroma of spicy hops, barley malt, yeast and strong fruitiness. Taste of caramel malt and dried fruits, on the other hand aftertaste is long and pleasantly hoppy. Medium to full bodied, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. I liked this one very much...

A little too bitter and metallic in the end, but a great copper colour with a quite complex flavour.

3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hand pump @ L Mulligan Grocer. Brilliant copper poor, lovely foamy white head. Not much aroma, some dusty malt, orange peel. Nice fruit caramel notes in the flavour, not shy of hop bitterness in the finish. Smooth mouth feel, flat carbonation. Suits hand pump well, I like it.

50cl bottle. Bright copper colour, off white head. Caramel, toffee, and slight red fruit on the nose. Taste is full of caramel malt and a thirst quenching fruitiness. A dry finish with a touch of hop bitterness. A decent Irish red.
