COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A refreshing blonde ale generously hopped to give bitterness and aroma that packs a punch. Great with spicy food.

wow, this was definitely unexpected. most of the micros ive had from ireland are in the "not bad" range, but this goes into the "delicious" peak of blonde ales that have the hoppiness almost to a pale ale level. fruity and citrusy with mostly a grapefruit flavor, golden blonde in color, duh!, but just absolutely delicious, i cant wait to try the other offerings from this brewer and a great step forward for irish microbrewers.

It smelled as an American pale ale and the taste is almost perfect (although a little bitter too much in the end). I am happily surprised.

Drinks like an ESB. Nicely hopped. Some fruity esters and maltiness in the aroma as well as very low level diacetyl. Aggressively hopped in the bittering range. Only serious flaw is chill has and could be just a little more malty to balance the hoppiness.

A good solid beer this new brewery. More copper than gold, quite hazy. Caramel malty aroma. Sweet and fruity flavour, with a crisp, moderate bitterness that lingers quite long.

Bottle @ The Abbot in Cork. Poured in the yeast, and it looks good like that, has a lasting head. The aroma and flavors are surprisingly hoppy with a few baskets full of flowers adding complexity. Much better than expected, and could easily drink more.

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2012 50cl bottle. Pours deep hazy gold with decent bright white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, grass, almost belgian-blonde yeast notes. Taste has a good degree of hop flavour, again plenty of citrus, few tropical notes, very interesting complexity from the yeast - pleasant surprise. Biscuity sweetness of the malt provides a good balance to the hop notes. Smooth mouthfeel with a satisfying degree of bitterness in the finish. Very tasty blonde ale.

Dark amber, vibrant and cloudy pour with flecks of yeast and off-white cap and lacing. Aromas of hops, barley, wet grass, lemon, pine and caramel. Creamy, tart and alive on initial sip. The citrus and hops dominate on, quite hoppy. A spicy warmth lingers around for a few moments. The sweetness from the fruit and caramel are present but subdued. Great stuff! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beautiful huge white head, very pleasant aroma of bubblegum and citrus, refreshing bitter taste with a more bitter aftertaste. Very easy drinking and well balanced. Actually it’s an IPA. I definitely guess it’s dry hopped.

stravale (2076) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - MAR 18, 2014
Bottle @ Copper Still, Dromod [180314]
Blonde, slight haze, frothy dense white head, good lacing
Aroma of citrus hops, soft grapefruit, sweet fruity pale malts, some tropical fruit in there, fruity nose
Taste of fresh citrus hops, grapefruit pith, sweet fruity pale malts, touch of biscuity malt, dab of pine, grapefruit zest,
Palate - soft carb, medium body, quite oily, good mouthfeel, sweet pale malts, decent hoppy citrus bite. Finish as main flavour with a nice lingering sharp citrus zest
Overall - A lot of these bottled golden ales are rather dull and insipid - this is not the case - really decent blonde, plenty of flavour. Found it better quite chilled
