3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @ the tap house in Portland. Part of John’s locker stock series. Nice black-brown color, thin even khaki head. Mild roast and chocolate notes, no real crab aroma, overall low-key aroma. Taste pretty muted up front, but moves on to a nice mix of lacto, roast, and lighter notes of something almost cookie-like. A nice, clean porter. But no significant crab flavors.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
I found this to be a typical American style Porter. It had a sweet flavor at the end which slightly turned me off.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A pitch black colored beer, with a small beige head. The aroma of dark roasted malt, some fruits and coffee. The taste is a little thin, roasted malts, dark fruits, some coffee with chocolate. The aftertaste some silty with sweet and notes of bitter.
