glennmastrange (2241) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - JAN 20, 2014
Bottle. Moderate roasted and caramel for the malt, heavy hops of pine, grapefruit and lemon, moderate yeast note of soap, with pepper and dried fruit in the background. Head is average, frothy, off-white with excellent lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is medium amber/tan with lotsa crud on the bottom. Flavor starts moderately to heavily acidic and a bit sour, then finishes lightly acidic, moderately bitter and still sour. Palate is medium, dry with a fizzy carbonation. Nice complexity from the hops in this citrus-y and tangy IPA.

UPDATED: JAN 11, 2014 341 ml bottle from Les Marchands de Bières (Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec) on December 12, 2013. Orange honey, small head. Dry grapefruit aroma, very hoppy. Grapefruit taste sweet and spicy, very juicy, typical bitterness of this citrus fruit. It’s like drinking grapefruit juice with hops in it!

Bottle. Cloudy yellow. Aroma has some fruit and lots of flowers. Taste is the normal expected flavours for an IPA plus tons of floral notes. Tropical fruit taste increases as I drink it. Bitter finish. A unique IPA, and pretty enjoyable.
