UPDATED: JAN 11, 2014 341 ml bottle from Les Marchands de Bières (Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec) on December 12, 2013. Orange honey, small head. Dry grapefruit aroma, very hoppy. Grapefruit taste sweet and spicy, very juicy, typical bitterness of this citrus fruit. It’s like drinking grapefruit juice with hops in it!

Bottle. Cloudy yellow. Aroma has some fruit and lots of flowers. Taste is the normal expected flavours for an IPA plus tons of floral notes. Tropical fruit taste increases as I drink it. Bitter finish. A unique IPA, and pretty enjoyable.

The eyes say: pours amber with a large frothy head. The nose says: tropical fruits, Earl Grey tea, pine. The mouth says: fruity (reminds me of those fancy fruit jellies), resinous hops, fairly strong bitter finish. Medium carbonation, somewhat oily mouthfeel. In the fine lacing left in my glass I noticed several faces, mostly goofy, but one, one that was definitely a vampire, I became nervous and quickly rinsed out my glass... This is cloud watching for men. A great IPA of subtleties. Bravo.

Note: 4/5 Ketail

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2014 2014-01-17. Hazy orange body nice white head and lace. Aroma is moderate, mix of muddled citrus. Flavour is bitter, moderate tea notes, bit tannic as it goes. First impression is better than the end result. More hops and less tea please. Average bodied palate, mild carbonation. 7/3/6/3/13 Bottle shared by Gorbalev

2013-10-20. Murky dark pastel orange body with a small frothy white head. Aroma is muted, light muddled hops, earthy whispers. Flavour is fairly bitter, kind of astringent citrus character, orange citrus seeds. Average plus bodied palate, some floaters low carbonation. Cask needs to settle out I think. 6/3/6/3/14 Session 3, Cask Days 2013, Toronto

Bottle from the Brasserie. Pours a hazy orange-amber with a fluffy beige head that leaves great lace. Nose is tea and tropical fruits. Take some time to savour this as the nose and flavour become more pronounced as the glass warms. The tea adds an interesting astringent note and the overall balance is excellent without the guava bringing too much sweetness. A medium oily body with average carbonation and a long finish. This is one that i could drink on a regular basis.

Cask Days 2013. Pours a murky pale yellow with sediment. I think it is near the end of the cask. Aroma is hoppy is notes of citrus orange, lemon, and a hint of bread. Taste is an earthy bitter with a bit of funk on the finish. Low-medium body and carbonation. Overall not bad. Good orange and lemon citrus notes with a balanced bitter taste. Would try again.
