Overheard: "I’m gonna go bobbing for olives now... If I don’t come back in an hour, add another olive!"

Bottle from Halles St-Jean shared with wife. Aroma: barnyard from brett, red fruits, spices. App: hazy pale small white head. Taste and palate: medium body, high carbonation with light to medium sour finish. Overall: tastes better then it smells. We do get used to the aroma though. Really enjoyed the sour finish. A good sour.

[My bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o Glouglouburp] Gusher! Pours a cloudy golden-orange with an average size diminishing frothy white head. Nice aroma, bretty, floral and herbal along with some hops and citrus fruit. Flavour, also nice, is yeasty, fruity and herbal along with some spice, hops, light funkiness and a long dry, moderately bitter finish. Average bodied. Very good stuff.

Bottle @ The Festival 2014. Somewhat cloudy pale orange pour with a large white head. Some tart citrus and white grape on the nose. Slightly floral and lemony. A bit of cracker and yeast as well. The flavor has a nice mild acidity to it. Floral and zesty. Nice orange and lemon peel. Somewhat bready, actually. Mild oak, white wine, grapes, and some yeast.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy golden with a lacy, white head. Aroma of Brett, some light wine barrels, floral hops, pale and light caramel malts, and some light fruit notes. Flavor the same with a decent blend. Average texture. A pretty good beer.

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2015 My Bottom Line:
Boastful brettanomyces and hoppy pine needles coalesce over flowers and citrusy edges in this complex Barrel-Aged Wild Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A foam cumulus settles within the misty blond with particles.
-The mouthfeel is frothy, dry and effervescent.
-The nose is as bright as it is complex.
-The finish could be softer to increase drinkability. For a 5.5% brew, the 750ml takes a while to get drunk.
-Colder serving temps help the citrusy flavors come out, diminishing the impression of bitterness.
-Yet another wildly successful Dunham barrel-aged blend. No surprises but tons of fun!

(On tap during Zwanze Day/Funk Night @ barVolo, Sept 20, 2014) Pours a nearly clear gold with a huge pillowy lasting white head. Aroma very complex, fruity citrus flesh, mango, pineapple, red wine, Brett funk, pale wheat malt. Lovely. Palate has pale ale character at first, citrus rind and pulp with leafy hops. Grain character shows up in the middle, almost creamy but still fruity with barrel and Brett characters solely in support. Finish pretty dry, lightly woody, smoky Brett, some grain and lingering moderate hop bitterness. Light to medium bodied with high but effervescent carb. I thought this was fantastic, still really hop forward with a fair bit of Brett, American farmhouse/wild style, the two base beers, barrel and bugs working in harmony to great effect. This could be a regular drinker for me if availability and price allowed.
