Bottle @ The Festival 2014. Somewhat cloudy pale orange pour with a large white head. Some tart citrus and white grape on the nose. Slightly floral and lemony. A bit of cracker and yeast as well. The flavor has a nice mild acidity to it. Floral and zesty. Nice orange and lemon peel. Somewhat bready, actually. Mild oak, white wine, grapes, and some yeast.

A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, a smooth sour ale with lactic acid notes, cherries, powdery, nice. In mouth, a nice fruity malt with Brett, sour cherries, light buttery notes, nice. Bottle from GRM.

Funky cloudy yellow with head. On tap at barvolo. Funky saison though a bit overhyped.a bit farmhouse.

My Bottom Line:
Boastful brettanomyces and hoppy pine needles coalesce over flowers and citrusy edges in this complex Barrel-Aged Wild Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A foam cumulus settles within the misty blond with particles.
-The mouthfeel is frothy, dry and effervescent.
-The nose is as bright as it is complex.
-The finish could be softer to increase drinkability. For a 5.5% brew, the 750ml takes a while to get drunk.
-Colder serving temps help the citrusy flavors come out, diminishing the impression of bitterness.
-Yet another wildly successful Dunham barrel-aged blend. No surprises but tons of fun!

Bottles.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2014 2014-11-06. Hazy pastel orange body with a foamy white head. 3+ Aroma is pleasant, funky bretty pale malt. Sweet lemon. Hint of wood. 7+ Flavour is moderately funky throughout, lemon notes, it is fairly bitter. There is a lightly vinous quality to it and wood undertones. 7+ Average bodied palate, soft eff carbonation. Significantly better than previous sample! Tasty. 7/4/7/3/15+ - 3.6 Bottle shared by Blankboy.

Overheard: "... Aged in a rain barrel...."

2014-09-21. Lightly hazy bright orange body with a small white head and lace. 3+ Aroma is a bit odd... Lightly fruity and funky with a grainy pale malt base. Flavour of sweet pale malt, grainy pale malt is a bit rough. Fruity undertones linger. Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Did not care for it. 6/3/6/3/12 - 3.0 On tap at Volo, Toronto

750mL bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks a lot Dany), pours a hazy bright golden with a medium white head. Nose brings out lots of brett upfront, with considerable floral hops, and maybe a touch of the wine barrels but not much - great aromatics. Flavour brings out a wonderful marriage of brett, white wine barrels, and spicy floral hops - absolutely exquisite mix of these three notes. It begins on the brett, then transitions into the spicy hoppy goodness, leaving a spicy, hoppy, and vinous finish. An absolute stunner by Dunham. Amazing stuff.

Catching up on RBAG 2014 notes backlog... Bottle, shared by Dresden. Pale yellow with a thick white head. Sour citrus (lemon, white grapefruit) marries nicely with bretty funk, some grassy notes. Finishes quite dry. Excellent.

[My bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o Glouglouburp] Gusher! Pours a cloudy golden-orange with an average size diminishing frothy white head. Nice aroma, bretty, floral and herbal along with some hops and citrus fruit. Flavour, also nice, is yeasty, fruity and herbal along with some spice, hops, light funkiness and a long dry, moderately bitter finish. Average bodied. Very good stuff.
