341ml bottle. Pours nearly black with a one and a half finger, fluffy, tan head. Large amount of lacing coats the glass. Rather large sediment floating throughout. I think I may have an older bottle. Aroma is roasty but not over done. Hints of coffee, chocolate, and bread. Taste is a balanced bitter with a roasty, chocolate, almost creamy, bitter aftertaste. Medium body with a low-medium carbonation. Slightly creamy in the mouth but still remains very drinkable. Overall I am impressed. The guy at the dépanner said this was missing from my rather large bottle purchase and I can see why. This is great stuff. Nice and roasted but still very drinkable. I will buy again for sure and hope for a fresher bottle. Cheers!

More of a hoppy porter than a black IPA, IMO... but that is quite alright. Deep black body, large light tan head, dense lacing. Assertive roast, light coffee, plenty of piney and earthy hops as well as a hint of citrus and floral character. Medium bodied, appropriate carbonation, lively bitterness in the finish. Refreshing and satisfying.

Bouteille 341ml.

341ml bottle pours black in color with a huge light brown head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasted grains and coffee with some hints of chocolate and citrus. Taste is a citrus hop and roasted grainy bitterness with a chocolate malty sweetness. Medium bodied and nicely carbonated with a dry finish. A nicely done IPA that is full flavored with a good body and quite good.

Pour is very dark brown with a nice beige head and good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, piney and citusy hops, light coffee and cocoa notes. Taste has lots of raosted malts, piney hops, light citrus, light to absent sweetness, dry finish. Low body and Medium high carb. A well crafted black IPA. Love it

Bottle. Dark brown with golden highlights, rapidly fading light brown head. Aroma is lovely young pine, sweet and sappy, with background roast.the palate is certainly hop forward, mostly piney, some white grapefruit, with tasty dark roast in support, notes of coffee especially nice. Finish is long and bitter.

Keg at APEX in Portland, OR on 5 June 2013. Beautiful, almost black colour with a persistent tan head. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate. Hop flavours on the front balanced by burnt malt and brown sugar offset.

Noire. Crémeuse. Chocolat. Torréfié. Anis. Houblon. Herbacé. Très forte amertume. Caramel brûle. Très houblonné. Onctueuse. Très sèche. Fruité. Toast grillé. Un bijou bien houblonné riche en arome.
