In short: A bitter harvest ale with plenty of grass juice and bitter orange peels
How: Tap at Vices & Versa, Montreal
The look: Partly cloudy orange-blond body topped by a small white head
In long: Nose is moderately hoppy with fresh green hop pellets and oranges. Taste is hops, hops and more hops. Plenty of crisp slightly toasted cereals, lots and lots of fresh grass juice, lots of bitter orange peels. Bitterness level is through the roof. Nothing resinous or sticky here. Very good beer although I’ve heard the bottle doesn’t match the tap version, maybe, but this pint I had very satisfying. I’m entering ratings from my backlog because I’m taking a break from beer right now, it’s been 3 days already and I have to say that I’m feeling pretty darn go f*ck yourself, I hate you all, all of you, and myself too.

pours hazy light orange-copper with a very small white head, little retention, light lacing. fresh cereals, spices, citrus, light acidity, nice herbal and citrusy bouquet, pepper. light body, decent fresh grassy-citrusy finish. ok.

Bouteille de 500 ml achetée chez La Barik (Trois-Rivières, QC). Arôme: Légère odeur d’orange et de caramel. Apparence: La couleur est orangée voilée avec une très faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une large dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût d’houblons frais avec une pointe de zestes de pamplemousse. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement onctueuse. Faible effervescence en bouche. Présence de zestes de pamplemousse en arrière goût. (Rating #4117)

A hazed orange amber ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, nice floral British hops, nutty murky malt, light treacle. In mouth, a nice roasted malt with lingering herbal hop bitterness, caramel, nice. On tap at Vices et Versa, Nov. 26 2011.

Belle bière couleur de miel, trouble et coiffée d’un fin col blanc laissant une légère dentelle au verre. Des arômes bien typiques de caramel, de conifères et d’agrumes. Solide amertume, sans sucre résiduel. Corps solide, texture huileuse et douce effervescence durable. Elle se termine sur une longue fin amère.

Golden blonde, frothy white head. Pleasant herbal nose with touches of exotic fruits and lime. Light to medium body, low carbonation, smooth bitterness, oily with a mild fresh hop finish. Great harvest beer. Could drink pints and pints of this... On tap @ Vices & Versa
